Free-hand the glue on the upper. Dont bother with tape, i know you can do it, youre a gifted restorer. Its a good skill to have and start working on improving until you master it.

the filming of this project is nearly a year old. I don't tape anymore, thanks for your concern though.

There's got to be something you can paint on and peel off instead of using tape.

I only use tape because I'm using adhesion promoter that sprays. I am looking into some that you apply like glue. Would be better but would have to work fast for it to be effective
