The regular season lasts 6 months and over that time each team will only have 19 days off and they spend much of that time traveling. It truly is a marathon.

Baseball historically was the main sport and still remains extremely popular. In St. Louis we recently got a soccer team and it is wildly popular so far. Baseball is cheap to go to (as far as tickets) so it makes sense it still draws despite the rise of other sports.

Baseball is an event. It's definitely the most exciting thing to go to as a kid. There's a lot to do. It might be hard to get into if you go alone and don't understand the rules, but if you pick an evening/weekend game the atmosphere is great. Weekdays can be iffy because of sparse attendance especially if a team isn't doing too hot.
It's the one sport you can choose to go to on a whim. Unless you're going into the playoffs or world series then you can usually rock up to the park right before a game and buy a ticket to get in.

The A’s relocation to Vegas isn’t finalized. It’s a very contentious situation.
Attendance usually depends on the city & how well or bad the team is doing.
You two should definitely react to Baseball Doesn’t Exist regarding the 2023 season so far. It’s funny but you’ll get a better understanding of MLB stuff

it basically is finalized the nevage gov just signed a bill allowing it but i dont think it would change much for the A's as long as the same ownership is in control they are terrible

It looks like a done deal but if the city of Oakland really wants to keep the team for their constituents, they need to prove they can have the funds to build the new stadium at Howard Terminal. MLB does not want to get into a legal. There were like 30k fans when the Phillies played them in Oakland on Father’s Day, which also happens to be the seating capacity at the Vegas stadium.
Montreal Expos, same situation. There wasn’t revenue sharings & social media wasn’t as big as it is now but MLB got lucky in 2004 & didn’t have to deal with the bad press.

@@lovesgucci1 yea I understand that but I just even if they stay in Oakland nothing will change if it’s the same ownership.

He’d still be the owner if they relocated to Vegas. At least in Oakland there’s a fan base already. Besides, Fisher might sell after he get a new stadium, in either city.

Where they also get you in for parking.... alot of stadiums dont have public transit systems and some fanbases enjoy tailgating, so most baseball fans have to drive their car. I root for one of the worst teams in the league this year, and ya, my ticket is around $15 dollars, I have to pay 40 dollars just to park my car. So it evens out in other ways.

Why is MLB BB the most watched professional sport? They play 162 games in a season.
Sport with the greatest average attendance per game? College football.

9:46 Nope. Chicago's Comiskey Park (White Sox) was known for drunken delinquent fans who ran out onto the field. And horrible teams.

Because there are 162 games a season. If neither the team or the opponent are good the stadium is half empty. Its dumb. They have all of these gimmicks at baseball parks because people are bored to shit.
