Yeah, there were some flubs, extra notes and that whole ending bit. But, this was all in one shot. I didn't splice other takes or attempts from the day into it. You might question that as you see the light under the floor time is off towards the middle-end, but that was the flash on my cell phone turning off because it went into battery-saver mode...not that I need to defend myself.

Hello, my friend. I would try to play the hi-hat pattern alone with the quarter note bass drum hits first. Then you can start putting in the snare hits after. Mike Portnoy's "Liquid Drum Theater" has him playing this song - it's probably on TH-cam; that helps, too!
