But the king, Bajirao was unaware of the fact that in her kingdom giving dagger to an unmarried women means u are accepting her as your lawful wife and now Mastani is in Maratha empire as now she is his wife but Bajirao's familiy instead of accepting her they sent her to brothel without letting him know.

Well bajirao was already married and for someone at his status, they were allowed to marry only woman for whole life, so it was like blasphemy to people of his kingdom, also the girl was a daughter of muslim queen, it wasn't acceptable.
Rao deciding to marry her despite having a wife at home was an exception to their customs,because he wanted to keep dignity of the woman, and had fallen in love with her too.

This movie was fiction though the characters were not. As you guys are watching this movie I would like to tell you few things that this story is based on real characters. Peshwa Bajirao I was indeed a married man but mastani wasn't his lover. She was given to him in marriage which peshwa knowingly accepted so she was his wife and not like she followed him blindly to his house without his knowledge and Polygamy was still in practice in those days.
The makers made it look like as if mastani was a home wrecker and seduced peshwa bajirao. Her being born to a Muslim mother indeed brought her problems when she was in puna but she was king chhatrasals daughter whom he loved dearly.
As far as i know, bajirao was not married to mastani..she was only a lover kind of person

Yes the characters were 100% real but portrayed in alot darker shades. There were a Alot of incidents in the movie which not at all happened in real life.
Bajirao mastani never met before their wedding. She didn't followed him, they went along. Yes she was treated differently but She lived at shaniwar wada she was never forced to live somewhere else.
@@thegameison. nope she was indeed married but because in peshwai inter faith marriages were not accepted so theirs wasn't accepted either and their relationship was described with alot of different names in documents we found today. She lived in the same family house as kashi bai and other members but in a different apartment.

I'm not being rude or not saying anything hateful the man here said that the dance is so easy we can do it easily bro you guys will be laying on the floor the next minute the dedication it takes uff it's not just a normal dance where you have to only watch and do the steps there are many small desture that you have to master it took years of practice to master them and the spins , you also have to keep the elegant look while taking the spins there are ont just five to ten spins it's more then fifty it's not just a dance but a gift to our god usually people and that time or before that used to dance in order to show their love towards the god it's not about just the steps it's about the very little details very little finger movements you have to master our Indian classical dance or normally it's called kathak is so beautiful. People practice a lot that even their legs start hurting their legs will get swallen but they did not stop and the final result will be outstanding I hope people who dont know abt that will get to know it ❤. I was just sharing my opinion , no hate towards the content creators ❤

the story is basically she is a princess from another place and she moved in this palace just to get married to the king because she is madly in love with him and also because the king gave her a dagger which given to an unmarried woman meant as a sign of proposal in the princess's tradition, even though he already have a wife. The wife is chill but jealous of course sometimes but she does support the lady during her tough time, the princess was said to perform IN front of the king by the king's mother in order to embarrass her as she was a princess but now she is a performer but she slayed this performance the palace is actually called mirror palace which was originally the queen's palace because it reflect the beauty of the center of the ball throughout the palace but she was devastated in this scene as the mirror were reflecting the princess passionate dance and love throughout those mirror in the entire palace. fortunately she does marry the king but things didn't go well because of religious difference as the society wasn't accepting it and in the end the princess dies in the prison and the king dies at the same time from a fever while hallucinating about the princess while he was dying while he was on the way to war.

My Arab ass pretending I know what the Indian lady is singing because they have few aAravic words lol and my sister looks just like the actress too. Also when she went to him she wanted to touch his feet I believe Hindu culture believes your asking for the blessing when you touch someone's feet like their parents and the raise of the hand in the beginning is a greeting this is why he nodded.
