Makin some good progress. Are you swapping the head or the whole engine? Hopefully you have a friend with an engine hoist! Top tip - just the tip - to pull the water pump once you have the 4 nuts off, use two of the thermostat bolts and drive them in the two open holes on either side of the water pump and it’ll push the pump out. That one looks brand new but they can get stuck af in there.
Thank you and I’m planning to completely gut this e46 to bare rolling shell then swap everything of mine over and yk that’s smart as heck for the water pump and yes so many new parts and extra parts there’s an engine rebuild kit and complete coolant overhaul kit in the car really telling you I hit the motherload on this one it’s perfect!
