When you say: "you must land by exact count ...". What happens if you dont and roll more? do you bounce back? do you not move? do you loop around? (ok that last one is a joke, but I was just wondering)
i remember having this. it *is* the same as normal snakes and ladders, but it was still cool. i wish we had more kinetic board games like this and mouse trap!!
There was another about you going up a hill. Every now and then there would be a rock slide down and knock people pieces. There is safe ways too, so there is choices. It was pretty cool. Also try out ice cool. It's a flicking game about penguin avoiding the teachers and grab fish. Really fun too.
The game basically plays itself, you're just executing what the game tells you to. I hoped they'd revamp the concept a little bit with some player's choice or something.
@@Breadward_MacGluten And how would you plan on doing that without just making them easy decisions that don't change anything, like adding ladders that would help you and removing all the snakes you'd get hurt by.
@@Breadward_MacGluten And then they remove those snakes, making the entire game into a simple counting game. Your "obvious" answer has a (just as obvious) flaw. And removing ladders your opponents can go on only to negate them by adding those same ladders back on their turn leads to the same problem. And that's not even getting into the problem that even if you did find a way to keep things around, then it's just in your best interest to have the biggest ladder in front of you and the biggest snake/slide in front of your opponents with almost no actual strategy to it. Nor does that address the fact that there's not much strategy to where they'll land (and by extension, where you should place things), everyone rolls 2 dice, so you target the space 7 ahead of whoever you're targeting. It's the most common result, so it's the space they're going to land on most.
Why not make a Snakes and Ladders game where you can move the Snakes and Ladders to any position on the board before you play? Seems like a obvious variation to have.
I want the one where you stack the snakes and ladders on top of each other like chess, conect 4, tic tac toe, ect ect
One of those games, where there's no player input - just randomness
Hey, at least it's better than Candy Land, where the winner is determined before the game even starts.
I mean, it snake and ladder. What you expect?
@@davidguthary8147what’s that
The rules are the same as regular snakes and ladders except for these plastic parts.

@@Aja-OP1 good one!
but if you are near a ladder or a snake, can you do en passant to the moving ball?
En passant is for chess. Not for snakes and ladders and also, if there’s no room for small ladders and snakes, skip it

I hate that this is still 2D

I mean it is technically 3D, as it has height.
@@viceversaanimates7398 according to that logic literally anything would be 3D.
the actual gameplay is 2D.

Wondering the same thing. In many race games i know you'd bounce back but it wasnt explicitly stated here...
you lose your turn

And how do you suggest doing that?
@deadersurvival4716 adding rules which allow you to add or remove snakes and ladders to certain parts of the board at given moments
@@Breadward_MacGluten And how would you plan on doing that without just making them easy decisions that don't change anything, like adding ladders that would help you and removing all the snakes you'd get hurt by.
@deadersurvival4716 I thought the answer wouldve been obvious: you strategically add snakes to where you think your opponents will land

This might as well be 2d snakes and ladders
More like 2.5D because the gameplay is 2D
Looks kinda cool.
Wait, you didn't mention what happens when you overshoot the goal! Do you just bounce backwards or do you have to start the row again?
In the most of this style of games u bounce back, in others u just stay there until in some turn u get the exact number u need
