I do courier and box type missions plus investigations. The Intrepid is perfect for that game play. It's not a fighter but a runner, with its speed and anemic firepower, and that's fine with me. I rarely fire my guns anyway.
Someone at CIG said "What if we took the Ion and made it SO weak, it was like not having weapons at all?" Just a single Size 3 gun? Nooooo thanks. Not in this game. The ship would have to be around $30 to make that worth it. Anyway, nice video bud. From one tiny you tube channel to another, best of luck growing your channel! I dropped you a like and a sub o7 Cheers.
I appreciate the use of space and the narrower corridors. It really lets them maximize the space. But while I really like Crusader ships, but the outside doesn’t really “wow” me like others. I’ll have to see how it looks in game.
The intrepid is a smuggling/vip transport ship in all reality. It's great for running, not really great for fighting. It'll also probably be good for light exploration maybe? Def for Bunker runs. It's like a step up from a cutter, or The Cutter. Wonder how it'll do with optimized loadouts?
Q- fuel, fast acceleration, good on hydro consumption. Doesn't drift like other Crusader ships- turns well. Vtol engines. My one little complaint is that the pulse won't lock down in the cargo hold. That would be great for basic planetside exploration. You could prospectively put bounty pods in each of the cargo holds. For live bounties not the killem and sendem to prison crap we have now.
It has the target cross section of a hot air balloon, but it has basically everything else you would want to be your daily while doing solo bull shit around SC
Crusader Pacifist, very nice casket to die again and again and again in. CIG has cut months off the nerf cycle. Very efficient. Thank you for making sure we don’t have a badass ship to fall in love with. Just take all the weapons off, tape a rock and a stick onto the front. Oh crap that ship has a big rock and look at that mean ass stick it’s sporting.
My immediate reaction to the Intrepid was 'ugly ship' - and not in a good way. The interior, and even those fabulous Origin 100i style steps, however, are quite solid. The working mirror is a nice touch as well. The Gun is 'meh', but lots of nice details we're starting to see in other ships. Wouldn't mind another interior window and monitor for the hab area.
Just get a Cutty Black... The Nomad is already 80$ and probably better for the most part. I have a feeling this thing is going to be between $80 and $100.... At both of those price points, just get a Cutty. Even at 70$ , I would still say just get a Cutty.
@@briangueringer3673 100% there are better options. It makes it really difficult to recommend the Intrepid as a starter. “Should you buy” is definitely a “No” for the Intrepid.
A $25 starter ship with a $45 cross-section. The interior looks nice but the exterior is the ugliest thing CIG has ever made. It's not a Crusader ship. This is the first Crusader ship that I've passed on. Just based on looks, even before I found out that full power to weapons means 10 shots with the FL-33.
Most starters can do entry level everything. If they don't want it doing combat why bother with a gun? I'd be 100% ok with some new types of ships that don't even have guns. The entire game doesn't have to be murder. But when you strap a gun on a ship and missiles, it should be at least capable of doing the level 0 entry quest.
@jgun-tv especially when said ship was obviously designed around the gun haha It seems like they wanted to make a small multi role ares kind of ship, but then built it around a tiny pea shooter. This thing would have to have a size 5 to even think about considering it over an avenger.

Just a reminder, all new ships had the speed higher in the launch and are nerfed after 2 or 3 patches! So take this in mind!
I think I'm also fine with it's lower levels of pew pew. The Cutter can't kill much either and people love that little dumpster.

i use this and have a pulse on one side of starage and 4 boxes to sort my loot from bunkers running solo
now with 4.0 backpack space its fantastic
That's so awesome! I didn't know a Pulse could fit in there!
I guess if you start the game with the Intrepid it will make you appreciate every other ship more, for their comparable combat ability 😅
True! See the glass is 45% full!
Cute little ship. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching!
I like it, I'm hardly a combat player, but this will by my Space Prefab House.
@@4jup4ter4 as long as you stay away from PvP areas it’s a fine little camper.
Internal cargo doors for evacuating atmosphere during fire.
There ya go!
Great interior, and I don't hate the outside.. but the single s3 cannon is a deal breaker for me. I would feel safer in a Mustang
And you'd be much safer in a Mustang LOL. The Intrepid doesn't have enough teeth for how large it is.
And a single size 1 shield too. It's worthless 😅
@@gabzsy4924 The Aurora ES for $20 has 2x shield and higher damage output.
@@Icarus_Ridexx and a smaller profile too.

Yeah, there's a lot of tradeoffs here. Things I love, and things that hold the ship back from it's full potential.

Yeah it's a bit large for how small it's teeth are.

Swap to a competition a power plant and a panther. You'll have a better time.
True, maybe for someone with my terrible aim the FL-33 isn't a great choice.
Small cargo?
The $20 aurora can put up a better fight.

lmao
I have nightmares about unnecessary circle doors LOL
I just want a Warbond CCU for this ship.
The ship is great, but that weapon... atleast a size 4 would have been acceptable
I'm not even sure why they bothered with the weapon. You can't do much with one size 3 gun.
You skipped the best feature of the bathroom - the working mirror! ;)
All the new ships have faux mirrors. You can see those in my Polaris video!

It is not a beautiful ship - it's fugly! Rename it the Insipid.
