Thank you for sharing your knowledge in this video. I am not an English speaker and English is my second language. I was unsure whether i could document as usual as others do.
Thank you for you wonderful feedback ! As I always say writing is practice and the more we write the better we become ! Let me know if there are any questions or concerns you want me to address in my future videos
@@yugeeedI have loads of examples - the one in the video was made in one of the Glen Waverley elc. I cannot post real observations with real information about children and photos due to confidential ity, but I change them enough to be able to share :) all centres document differently, apps are common , such as storypark, so its getting more digital. What kind of examples would you like to see more of - anecdotal, jottings, learning stories , full projects ?
@@Storykate right. Um i want to see all examples in different types. I don’t know yet how i write but i want to be familiar with words and structures. Do you mind if you could share a bit for me? I would be appreciated! Thank you.!

Hi Kate, I am so grateful that I found your channel.. I am a fresh graduate and now working as a full time ECT in preschool room.. I am struggling to do my observations and goals of 10 children per month and I only get 1 hour per week for programming.. How should I write so that I can finish 10 observations follow ups and goals in four hours. Could you please help me🙏
Hi Nutan, congratulations on the important role of an early childhood teacher:) 1 hour is not enough for planning per week for the whole group. Is it possible to negotiate your conditions using vectea award? If not, I would write a quick plan of the most important goals for this group, social emotional development; specific interests, rituals and settling in, routines. Every week I would revisit the goals for group on how am I going in supporting children . I would use group observations ( once a day maybe) and make jottings on individual children . What program do you use - storypark or is it based on paper ? Consider using reflection journal - I tried butler creative , but you can set up your own. This tracks experiences well and helps to document everything with ease. Do not do your planning at home though!
@@Storykate we use kinderm8 for observations.. I especially struggle with time management.. it takes me 30 minutes to do one observation and follow up..how much time should I allocate for each observation and follow up.. can you also recommend me some books that will help me with my writing.. TIA😊
