I was almost teary when u mentioned that working women are being judged everywhere and honestly, not just by others, constant self blame that am unable to raise my child properly.. at the start of video I was bit repulsive to the idea that woman like to spend on things that they can tag.. but as the video continued.. I’d say I am in agreement to a larger percentage (still not 100%).. this video gave me some insight into how some of the relationships (acquaintances) are troubled, and I immediately shared the video.. thanks for this wonderful eye opener.

India me aise nai hota h. Agar divorce hota h to wife ko bas maintenance amount milta h na ki 50%. Isliye women jyada concerned rehti hain about money kyunki ek insecurity hoti h future ko lekar. Agar aap apne ghar ke liye time effort sab dein career ko neglect karke and ek din after divorce aap kahin ke nahi raho sab choot jaaye.

    My case-
I & my wife were both working & earn joint annual salary of more than ₹75 lacs per annum.
However she doesn't want to spend anything, she wanted me to buy a new house & manage household expenses entirely without any contribution.
I don't expect her to support me financially but for bigger expenses like house purchase it's expected that she supports me financially.
She & her parents expect that since I am husband, it's only my responsibility to manage house while her money is only for herself.
This situation surely makes me insecure specially with Indian legal system which is skewed towards females.
Situation became so worse, we tried a lot to solve it but it didn't work out. Finally we have parted & moved seperate in life..

@@cauliflowerhead2735 you could have been right had you not assumed that she would be earning lesser while keeping your feminist mindset aside.
Indeed you could have asked if you required clarity rather than inconveniently judging.
Now that we both earn almost equally why is it wrong for her to contribute for home purchase which she & her parents were pressuring me into?
Her parents visited my place before marriage and should have pointed out any concerns then rather than cribbing post marriage.
They want us to move to a bigger better place without support is total hypocrisy.
Plus with our great Indian legal system, i could have been doomed if I had invested alone... Indian rules unfortunately are completely one-sided which doesn't give any confidence...

Today the men calculate the entire earnings of wife and expect her to give it entirely to them for investing in accordance with their wishes (basically property under their control). They want an independent woman to become so dependent that she even buys a saree with his consent. It’s very strange and honestly dangerous.

Sir, I feel businessman misuse and does not respect salary of wife. They divert their gains again in business or spend on parents/siblings/niece/nephew to show off and enjoy credit and attention they get. The working lady runs the house, manages expenses of kids and totally at loss be it physically, mentally or financially. They also put savings of wife to recover business loss.

When the greedy relatives do not return, he start squeezing house expenses somehow to manage, as pocket is one or sometimes keeps extracting from her savings too. One point you didn't cover is what to do when husband and wife work in family business and husband doesn't give neither salary nor pocket money and nor fixed monthly house expenses. All what he says is maanglo. In today's world if both are equally educated and earning in same business and if you everytime ask and not able to get basic expenses and wife is compromising in each and everything and husband spends lavishly without discussing then you feel you are in trap.

As for emotions, Don't open up yourself fully.

I implemented this in my family, 70% of the income will be contributed in the joint account by husband and wife. And for 30%, both can do whatever they want to do with that. Joint account would be used for all the expenses, savings, and investment.

Dono ki salary combined honi chahiye, it should be credited in joint account..or else , wife can transfer her salary from bank account to a joint account with husband ( like we do) . Isse Ghar mein barkat hoti hai. and the biggest thing is both should trust each other. 😊

We both work, we follow this planning, We have made a financial target and my wife keep a track of our financial target. We have created a joint account, both our salary goes there, both are answerable if there is a big spending otherwise we are free to spend sundry expenses. So far we are doing good towards financial target and no major conflicts
