    Lug Nuts, hand thread them on for 10-12 threads before hitting it with drill. Drill has enough torques to jack the threads.

    Great video! And the phonedials are way cooler than the BBS.

    The Phone Dials are SOOOOooooo much classier. The mesh wheels cheapen the look.

    • @sleepyhollow783
      @sleepyhollow783 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Very much classier! Absolutely the look (perceived quality) went down with the mesh. Someone rightly mentioned it looked like an RX-7.
      (Not slamming the Mazda, only to say let the Mazda be Mazda, & let the Porsche be Porsche.)

    I hope that with the new tires you got an alignment as well. If not your new tires will end up like your old tires.

      Yeah it badly needed an alignment. All fixed now.

    Love this, Ethan. You're absolutely right - the tiny jobs feel great. It's those little fixes that make the car a nicer place to be. I find HUGE satisfaction in refreshing even the smallest of trim pieces on my E46.

    Nothing to be ashamed of with that improvised rear wiper delete. Looks good & well put together.
    If desired, the screw's head could be dabbed with black touch up paint to hide the silver.

      Also, Audi makes a really good bug/tar cleaner, too! Get it at the dealer. (I/m not compensated by them, just tried it on my Audi and it worked GREAT! Will use on my 951 when needed.)

    At first I thought the basket weave wheels were better looking, bur really, the Phone Dials scream 944! Good choice on putting the new tires on those. And 'thumbs up' on those little achievements. Great vid, as always!!!

    All these classic 80’s and 90’s cars, I forgot I had first hand experience driving many when they were brand new, when I was in college. (yes I am old now) One was a 1989 944 turbo S my friend owned. Fast, great handling, solid. Lots of turbo lag, but shifted amazing. Good memories. Loved the 944. I have to make a list one day.

    Hi man! i just found your channel.. nice car!
    for the rear windshield why don´t you buy a rear wiper delete kit for a vw golf? (i don´t know if the hole is the same size, but there are a lot of kits available)
    Cheers from Argentina!

    Bro just did a similar video on my 91 Mercedes 500sl. Made me so happy at the end. I said fuck it, due to quarantine let's fix things for free using stuff around my shop. It came out so good. Ironically I even fixed my driver's door panel. Oh also because of you I found a 1983 Nissan pulsar and I think I'm going to pick her up. Thanks again. Love the content.

    Anything alcohol based should remove the sap. The higher the concentration, the bigger. Check out chrisfix's video as reference on the same issue.
    I have BBS on my black 86, but they are the RS version. Keep the 944 videos coming!

    There's a hole cover from Porsche for those who "deleted" the rear wiper motor. Check with a Porsche parts recycler as they should have one. Also, think Metric for sockets, etc.

    Rubbing alcohol works really well on sap. I had a lot of pine tree sap on one of my cars on the rubbing alcohol took it off and didn't damage the paint.

    The wheels take special conical seat nuts. Also seems like your car is in desperate need of an alignment. I would get it checked wouldnt want to wear out the new tires. I think cookie cutters look best on 944s id keep an eye out for a set they can be had cheap

    Love the phone dials. Sap and tar is always tough--too weak and it it does not work, too strong and you risk ruining the paint. i have had luck with the cheap Turtle Wax by letting it sit on the bad spots for a little time

    Actually I might be able to give some helpful feedback on your tire situation. I'm tires for a mixture of daily driving, autocross, and the occasional track day. They do offer a a ridiculous amount of grip for a street tire. After one track day, one autocross, and 25,000 street miles, my front tires are pretty well worn out and the rear tires are still closed to new (RSX Type-S). Adding a little bit of air pressure takes care of the additional sidewall flex compared to the Kumho tires. Once they get halfway Warren they do become a little more dicey in standing water, and the noise level increases dramatically as they wear. There are supposedly confirmed reports that this is actually a rebadged previous-generation Bridgestone Potenza RE71, and they do seem to offer similar performance to that tire.

    • @toyoracer33
      @toyoracer33 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apparently some of that reply was deleted by accident. That should have began by saying that I'm using the same Tire for a mix of daily driving, track day, and autox use.
