Some cops decided they deserve compensation because their co-workers act like entitled children and offended them , but Louisville “leadership “ had very little to say about the global embarrassment they created by allowing the arrest of the worlds number one golfer. I’d say their priorities are backwards, but it doesn’t sound like they prioritize anything.
Shouldn't they have insurance that pays for all that ?

How can he say they should be proud... every day this agency has some problem with its rank and file . From throwing objects at its citizens, taking money,killing the innocent, serial harassment of fellow officers, allowing crooked cops to resign and go elsewhere, to constantly abusing those they swore to protect ... nothing to be proud of there. Just evil in uniform. Decertification should be the norm and the certification board needs sued for lack of doing the job they hold. What standards do they hold officers the certify and oversee...none. add them to lawsuits and things will change.
Fix the po lice department. Stop playing musical chairs with the chiefs. Lmpd has been a broken department for years. No need to bring in a new chief when the culture in the department is pathetic

Corruption can come easy when there is no good, honest supervision, or checks and balances - look at the Karen Read case. If they can do it to her, be aware, they can do it to anyone.
While they are at it get the mayor to step down too we need a assertive mayor and a hard nosed police chief that is not afraid to do his job ! And the mayor to back him up !
This will not be a popular comment, but that's okay I don't care: The placing of people in important positions in society, and a Chief of a major metro police dept IS an important position, must be done PURELY on ability to get the job done properly. We absolutely need to stop the racist, sexist idiocy that people are entitled to whatever position they want merely due to their gender or skin color. It MUST be earned thru truly qualified behavior and NOT politically motivated in anyway. This is not happening. She was not up to job and NEVER was!!

Six different Chief of Police in WHAT - approx 4 years under never-ending downtown Democratic leadership. It continues to speak volumes, doesn't it. As long as Democrats continue to control, this type of disarray, incompetence & embarrassment will continue. Hope I am wrong, but I believe this current mayor is not letting a good crisis go to waste. He appears to love press conferences, the limelight, and tv cameras. Perhaps he has higher future political goals. In the interim, how is rank and file police morale, and what is being done overall to alleviate Louisville's declining reputation???
