    Saying he didn't try to undermine the career of the officer whose wife he was sleeping with doesn't make it any better...

      It is the APPEARANCE of impropriety that is actually just as bad as--or perhaps even worse than--actual improperly itself.

    The police might be garbage but how is this anything? Two consensual people and she didn’t work for him.

      Lol use your brain, he had sex with the wife of one of the officers in his command. Imagine your boss having sex with your wife. You would lose all trust for him and all your fellow employes would think. Damn he isn't a good guy after all, he could be having sex with my wife as well.

    They actually said he turned himself in. Yeah right, he only turned himself in when he knew he was about to be outed. I would divorce him immediately.

    Fresno is a terribly run city and county. Moved here 4 years ago. The entire police force is garbage. Everyone runs red lights everywhere right in front of them. Roads are garbage people are used to doing whatever they want. Disrespectful communities

    Does it State anywhere in the contract that you cannot have a sexual relationship with a lady regardless if she's married to a police officer it took two to make it happen so why should he have to resign if it's anything the officer that wife was accused of that he needs to deal with his wife

    • @BigEightiesNewWave

      Adultery is not an enforced crime, has not been for ages. Get a divorce is the usual way out, and that is legal.

    • @trwent
      @trwent หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      What is WRONG with you people? For the chief of police to have a sexual relationship with the spouse of an officer under his command is basically equivalent to having a sexual relationship with an actual officer under his command. Either way, it is an UNEQUAL relationship because he is the superior and has the power to take reprocussions against the officer if the officer/spouse of officer does not acede to his demands. Even if no actual threats were made and no quid pro quo overtly existed, the implicit threat would always be there. It is the APPEARANCE of impropriety that can have a devastating effect on morale throughout the department.

      Perhaps not but police agencies are run as paramilitary organizations and the chief’s actions undermined his own ability to lead by destroying the faith and confidence of his subordinates, as well as causing a public loss of confidence. And I’m sure there is some type of morals clause in his employment contract.

    It is really sad when temptation destroys people's lives. Yes, Everyone makes mistakes but he is the Leader of the police officers and because the betrayal was against one of those polices, it is undoubtedly the best action Mr. Paco balderama can make. He has been a great and unified leader to all of the community ❤️ but this mistake is something that can't be undone and so Good luck to everyone involved and God Bless 🙌
