3 AM. At work. It's a quiet night. Nothing much is happening. Morning is still far away. Suddenly, a pop-up from eBuzz Central! Troy, you're a life saver.
Thanks, Troy, for everything you do. I'm the distro-hopper in the family. Not my son, who is an IT professional, and not my 17 year old grandson, who is a freshman in college, studying to be an IT professional. For me, personally, the one drawback with Nitrux is how deeply AppImages are embedded. I tried for a full day and could not get flatpak installed. I was able to finally get Discover installed, but never got it working properly. Sorry for not providing more specifics, but I tried Nitrux about a month or so ago, and didn't save the steps I followed. Thank you again for your channel.
I wanna say a huge thank you for doing these videos. Usually I do not comment at all but I think you are doing a great job for the Linux community, especially for new users. Also when I'm lost in the oceans of distros I like to come to this channel and take a look to more 'obscure' OSs. So again, thank you very much and have a nice day, buddy!
I use Risi as the daily driver on my ThinkPad x230 with no problems at all. The web apps are great to use and Risi tweaks is a blessing and great to use. Keep the videos coming Troy as they are very informative and interesting.
@eBuzz Central So, I've been watching your channel for a while now, and you seem pretty well Linux versed. My question is what would your opinion be, of the best distro, using [preferably just] Wayland?
Thanks for the videos! A Linux hardening video would be greatly appreciated! I've been in love with Linux since I had access to the internet and would like to know how to keep my interneting as safe as possible. I am curious of Nitrix, but I'm unsure how to find out which applications I use on the daily that require SystemD. IF anyone knows lemmi know!
They're both good operating systems.... and both of those will work for most people's needs... But in my opinion..if you have a little Linux know how just get a server edition from either arch, Debian or fedora.... Just build your for lack of a better term own distro...because that's what most of the distro do anyways. That way you can pick and choose what you want and you got the minimalist desktop that you need..
The problem with the Linux desktop are not the underrated distros, but the hundreds of competing and fighting distros, some living only a few years. No serious commercial organization will take the Linux desktop seriously.
I'm checking out some "Underrated" distros today-- ANTIX, EXLIGHT, and REBORN and others... BUT I am on Sparky now and every time I try something else- I always come back to my Sparky!!! (it was highly underrated too-- and I wouldn't trade my Sparky for anything I've seen so far--even though SOME are VERY GOOD.) Oh-- FEDORA based?? NO- not interested in that trash..

Just revisiting a couple distros I have already covered. Hope work and university are going well.

How good is this channel? Thanks Troy, keep going!
How about a discussion on which distro is easiest to setup as a server. For years I've had to fight with server and worlsations configuration

Linux noob here… currently on Linux Mint and trying hard not to distro hop but Risi is definitely enticing.
What Linux OS that supports Android Apps apk natively. Or by third party installation. Unlike Deepin OS?
Why you don't use Gecko Linux as your daily driver?
Because he uses OpenSuse.
RisiOs looks promising. Its backed by one person, so what happens long term?
eBuzz! Do a Linux hardening video! Here are some interesting things to look at. uBlock Origin, SELinux or Apparmor, Veracrypt and so on...
Wait Just pause this video ... That Wallpaper is a must have.... Ok back to the Video...
Do a Linux hardening guide!
