    Good idea, I also left the other supply lines like the +5V +3.3v -12v

      @housewirestv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sure, you are right. I needed only 12V, but we can put additional outputs like 3.3V and 5V.

    Cool stuff out there! Only you should put more output voltages like 3.3V and 5V DC!

      great idea! In some of the future videos I will record a video with more voltages option from a power supply. Thanks for the tip!

    In 2005 when the internet was still in its infancy, no TH-cam but some electronics blogs, I had wanted a decent hifi but the ex was unwilling to pay for it and so I bought a second hand 4 channel amp for a car, a JBL subwoofer for a car and a set of Pioneer midrange plus separate tweeter and another midrange driver from an electronics store but how to power a 12 volt car amp which needed at least 15 amps and all the amps in the early ATX PSUs were on the 5 volt line?, the solution was I had 3 ATX PSUs wired in parallel giving me more amps on the twelve volt line and I even tried in series to push the 5 volts to 15 but in parallel was simpler and eventually scrounging through scrap I found a PSU with a decent amperage in the 12 volt circuit so reduced to 2 PSUs in parallel and the way it’s done is one PSU is the master and the others are earthed to the main master PSU which means taking out the circuit board and finding the case ground which was always on one of the PCBs mounting screws and you grind all the copper of that earth tab, check continuity and then join all the coloured wire’s together and check continuity again between the black wires and the case of the master unit and that’s it, had the PSUs mounted on a board vertically inside and entertainment unit which was supposed to be for speakers so the door opened but was covered with speaker cloth and in the other bay on the other side I mounted the car amp and for the power on lights I had two 12 inch Cold cathode fluorescent lights that people like to put under their cars after binging on the Fast and Furious franchise going to do a mod something like this just to power lighting in my bedroom again with some cold cathode fluros and some lasers what ever, always running out of USB ports.

    Those powersupplys have only 12 Volts.
    You can not charge a battery with 12 Volts, you need 14.4 Volts.
    PC oversupplys do not work as Battery Chargers.

    Why so many black wires for the negative? You only have 5 yellow wires for the positive, so should only need five wires for the negative.
