We visited the late show of Robert Glasper at the Blue Note on October 8. Our expectations were high. To us the show was a big disappointment. It started one hour late. It started with two mediocre comedians, far from being funny. Were we in a comedy show? As Glasper apparently was late a very loud DJ show bridged the time. Retorde made sounds, just incredibly loud. Finally Glasper showed up. Unninspired from beginning to the end he messaged more with his cellphone than playing the piano. There was absolutely no respect towards his audience. The applause was friendly, far from being enthusiastic. We have been regular visitors at the blue note, but will not go again to see such uninspired bad performances.
