Great minds think alike?? LOL! When the song started & you looked so pleasantly surprised by the opening harmonies, I said, "Just wait...." And your reaction to Austin's opening was pretty much what I expected! Always loved this song by Percy Sledge. Austin did an amazing job!

Thats the very same reaction I had.. I spilled my coffee and after being mesmerized by Austin, I had to go back to listen to the rest of Home Free.. LOL
Percy Sledge originally wrote this song on the spot at a music gig after his girlfriend left him for his best friend. It was originally titled "Why did you leave me baby." A few of the lyrics were rewritten and the song was put out as it is now. I always loved the original, because you can hear the pain and anguish in his voice.
I agree. Austin did a great job with it, but the original is still my favorite.
And percy just has a unique voice to go with it.
I have seen about a dozen reactions to this song tonight, but when a man loves a woman, and you have Austin singing to you while giving you those looks...what's going to happen is the same exact reaction you just gave! I love the Texas pillow. Although I live in Pennsylvania due to my job I am originally from a small town in the northwestern part of Texas called Levelland. Buddy Holly was from Lubbock which is about a half hour from my hometown and Waylon Jennings is from a small town called Littlefield which is a half hour north. My parents are good friends with his son Shooter, he lived across the street from them for years before he moved away.
Austin gives such an amazing vocal performance that you sometimes forget it's a cappella. The boys in the back do such an incredible job in this song.
