An important lesson you need to learn about Striker's, Max..
99.9% of the time they will lead in with jump dive kick and you will somehow get hit by 98.9% of them...other than that

I think the only things that really changes from low rank to high rank is the level of footsies, mind games, baits and how well you know character matchups

There are definitely a lot of characters with optimal combos lower rank players cant pull off consistently, Striker is the exception to that because of her unique combo ability. Go look round TH-cam for optimal combos and try them out, there are plenty that are very difficult to pull off consistently if at all.
Striker wasnt using optimal or even mid lv difficulty combos most the time, he must be real good at neutral to made it into diamond, he just puts out short combos most the time.

I appreciate DNF duels approach to long range characters. They gave them long range lights, heavies, and combos. Cant wait to play.
I know right its great having a ranger or launcher zoning at the opposite ends just spamming ranged attacks
and then they have HUGE ammounts of recovery frames to compensate
This game's 80% cast is range characters lol, you are gonna love it
If I'm that 1st match and lose with that lead I'm cutting the game off and going outside looking to the sky and cry in the rain with my most stoic face listening to Drake hoping I drown.

There's something incredibly satisfying in all the DNF Duel videos, where you see Max popping the F#%@$ off at the start, before the intro drops.
Striker looks like Jam from Guilty Gear who was taught by Tifa from Final Fantasy 7 who was her master

It’s wild how fast max gets so good at games.
He's been playing fighting games for decades and it's his job. Shouldn't really come as a surprise that he can work out a new fighting game pretty quickly.
On top of that, think he brought up that newer fighting games are actually simpler. So just makes it easier for him to get into combined with his veteran experiences.
Calm down, this is one of the more accessible fighters.

I just can't get over the pre-fight announcer.

I was having a really horrible time with this game for awhile. Hit as low as a 9% win rate, was just getting blendered by everyone, almost gave up. Then I picked up Troubleshooter and it's like a light switch turned on. Never should've doubted that I'd get results from playing as Max. Shine on Dood.
Seeing alot of players Win-to-lose ratios is starting to make me feel better as a DNF player.
This game is wild. It will make you feel unstoppable and like you've never played a game before in the same night lol

I was rooting for that striker. She just needs to work on maximizing her damage potential because she had sick punishes. Max pulled it out though he got so frustrated he forgot how many sets it had been, lol.

A character called The Soldier is a girl who uses an AR of some sort maybe stance switching to use a stun baton with different combos while the AR is ranged attacks with knees and gun butts would be such a cool idea for this game

The striker in the beginning matches had so many opportunities to do some basic high damage combos. So much opportunity lost. I also would like to say. All the crazy stuff I have been finding to do. I really hope Arc System does not start nurfing the crap out of characters. This game is turning out to be fun as is.
This game has become my new fave.

It baffles me that they didn't put F.Slayer in the roster on release as she is arguably the fan fav to play as in DFO. I guess they gonna add her as paid DLC later on for the hype.
I feel like people fail to realize this game and it being so unique will cause this game to played for years. This hype for me is on the level of SF most definitely.

Since I only have TH-cam account, the only way to follow and comment on Max's channel, I'd like to suggest a couple of things...
1. Since Capcom Fighting Collection is out, how about doing a "Capcom Fighting Games" legacy? That'd be be cool and more people could be more familiar with Capcom's background history (in terms of fighting games, that is).
2. That multiplayer game with dinosaurs... How about a Dino Crisis playthrough? Just please consider. It is not everyday that, maybe, the Dino Crisis series could see more opportunity to see the daylight and beyond. Just saying.

I just got this game last night, and let me tell you ... I have NO idea what I'm doing 😅
The controls and general mechanics are so foreign to me that nothing really feels intuitive yet.
I'm used to other ArcSys games like DBFZ , GranBlue and Guilty Gear, and have played other fighting games like Injustice, the MK series, Street Fighter, Skull Girls etc etc .. nothing seems to handle like this one.... Which is both scary, frustrating, exciting and fun all at the same time lol !

I've really enjoyed watching this series of videos to the point that I was considering buying the game. That single match against Kunoichi convinced me that I have no desire to play this now. That is the single lamest, campiest style I've ever seen. This bitch is like melee Jigglypuff.

How do supers work in this game? I can't tell if it's like MK11 where you just get them when you're health is low enough or there's a resource that I'm not seeing it use.
Its on low health
It's kinda like Mk11. When you're at 30%-ish health, your character enters "awakening" which buffs them with a very strong unique gimmick, and you also get access to their super. Your awakening buff ends if you do the super, though, so that's why most people only use it to cash in the victory as a combo finisher.
Especially because your skill gauge for specials also grows the lower your health is, so awakening is the one point you get access to 80-90% damage combos by blowing your entire skill bar + super on someone.
seeing that striker not finish with a qcb+MS after qcf+MS and finish with a short jump 7S makes me whence each time, damage being left on the table. But to each their own.

Each “character” per se is just their role instead of their name. There might be names in lore or smthn (I don’t know dfo that well) but as far as I know it’s just by design

One of the only things I don't like in this game is the juggling. As a new player to fighting games its just kinda annouying to watch your character in the air for like 10 seconds unable to do nothing. Maybe the game should allow people to spend some of their block meter to get out of annouying combos.
