I don't understand why any fighting game doesn't just treat disconnects as forfeits.
Sometimes it backfires and hurts the player still in the match. Tatsunoko vs Capcom would sometimes reset your entire rank if someone D/Ced on you in an attempt to punish the Rage Quitter. I assume without a dedicated server to connect to, peer-to-peer just suffers due to the variety of connections there are from different internet providers across the world.
MK11 is the only one that punishes the rage quitter. The game detects it and automatically stage kills the player via “Quitality” 💀 you get the win and points
@@SoulSaber06 If your connection is absolute shit, should you really be allowed to play online and worsen and/or ruin the experience for others with better connections? I think it should be mandatory across all platforms to pass a suitable connection test and PC games need a benchmark like MK11 or they just don't let you play ranked.

@@richardjohnson8991 What about a power outage from a storm in your area? Normally you have great connections, but one bad lightning strike and half the town is out. Your bench test would be useless, and it happens more than you think. The less extreme way to go about it is to realize that you're connecting to the internet that is mostly out of your control. You put up with a certain amount of iffy connections because that's the way online play is, no matter the system they use, and you just realize that it's a game and not serious business. Make your own connection as good as you can on your end, and relax about everyone else.

So yeah maybe not 75, but definitely anyone higher than 80% is either brand new or has never had a legitimate match.

After seeing the Max mod, I had a very silly idea: a game where all the playable characters are FGC doods. Max, Sajam, Justin Wong, Tokido, Daigo, Alex Valle, and so on. It would have to be very silly because the very concept is silly.

I think I might try ghost blade or berserk. Vanguard and Crusader really don't have any the move sets to keep the pressure on but they still do big dps.
Berserker is similar to troubleshooter and both are very good and fun. Ghost blade has some neat mechanics but can be a bit easy to read.
Ghostblade relies on your opponent not knowing his gimmicks and not know that he doesn't have a reliable invincible reversal, to the point that even slow moving characters like grappler and crusader can keep their turns on wakeup.
Berserker is what DNF's system is built for. He easily converts strays hits into big damage, his moves gives him gray health, giving him an easy access to move cancels, either to save him from mistakes or to continue keeping his turns. His low health buff gives him life if he hits so he can survive a round longer.
So yeah go for the Berserker.
@@janematthews9087 pretty much. Only berserker and troubleshooter have the ability to make grey health for conversions. Still ghostblade is pretty cool and worth playing even if it's just for fun.
If you wanna have fun, ghostblade is amazing at that. However, beware of the grapplers/dragonknights/strikers/anycharactertbh going apesht on you cause you have no reversal no reliable reversal options aside from teleporting away (which isn´t very good tbh). The tradeoff is having some of the best mix the game has to offer when not using gray health, as well as some solid oki options (also GB can punish from fullscreen into full combo, which is a nice trait to have).
Now, berserk has everything mentioned above + a reversal and some of the most disgusting pressure setups in the game, as well as being more "bruteforcy" rather than relying on gimmicks, so it´s definitelly a more solid choice imo
Max's troubleshooter voice has a very kyle hebert feel to it

So kind of a weird situation, but does someone have a list of what the win quotes are for Max's mod? Whenever someone (I've seen) uses it, they have a face cam in the bottom middle of the screen so I can't quite make out what he's saying to/about each character. I also don't own the game so I can't check it myself. Anyone?

Its literally in the title. DNF Duel. Also the character looks the way he does cuz of a mod. Without it, he still looks very similar to him, but he just put in a lot of effort to make his own character of sorts.

My win rate is around 75% and I made it to terranite but I only have like 100 matches in ranked as hitman. I get alot of people quitting against me though and it's been "fun".
As someone who has almost 30 matches and about an 88% win ratio(I'm a diamond btw), I can unfortunately confirm I've run into people like that. That's why I had mine shut off until I got into diamond so people wouldn't run from me.

bit of a late reply but this is a mod max helped make. someone made a troubleshooter skin to make him look like max, someone else suggested max do voice lines for the mod, to which he replied that he'll do it for free
I had a feeling. It's very hard to punish someone that ragequits in bad situations, especially since they keep their win ratio.

Dude u do like 20 hut combos and do preasure for most of the match and some Fulkerson counter hits u once and u lose 85 percent. I hate fighting games
It's a mechanic in this game. If you start a combo with a weak attack, your dmg will be scaled-down. If you start with a strong, the dmg will be scaled up but if you start with a counter hit, that will drastically up the dmg.
The idea is to give more incentive to start with stronger attacks which have a much higher vulnerability window and are easier to read than weak attacks. The counter hit thing is to incentize parrying and essentially changing the flow of the match, giving the other player a chance to come back. There's other systems that make sure that neither player manages to get away with depleting 100% of the other player's health with a single combo. Although right now swift master and hitman are in dire need of a nerf because they be bs. While vanguard and launcher need a buff. Those 2 are by far the weakest in the game by a long shot.
