I'm a paramedic firefighter in Florida and have been on the job for almost 26 years. Love what I do and cannot see myself doing anything else. It is not a job for the weak-minded. It takes a toll on you physically, mentally, and emotionally. On the other hand, it can be very rewarding.
Same dude, been on the job only 4 years down in FL. Luckily for a big city so its never a dull moment, but it def takes a toll. On the other hand...its the greatest gig in the sky man. best job i ever had.
I got goosebumps watching this! My dad was a dispatcher for many years & printed all the rules & regulations that they all used to study for promotion. Thankfully he died 18 months before 9/11; he knew all the firefighters & brass & it would have killed him! I’ve always pictured him in heaven to welcome them.
Fdny is one great fire department my father was a volunteer in PA while serving in the USCG if you have kids or like FDNY clothing and other stuff or just like to see there museum look at the FDNY fire museum or join up lots of good things to do .
