Not a night and day difference, but refined enough that it will please fans for sure. There's a nice refinement in detail, resolution, film grain and colours.
@@Eva01-jy2qu7pu9r Face/Off from Kino Lorber also gives me fits too. The color grading is better on the 4K, and the grain is a plus, but it's still not much of a standout either. Very disappointing from Kino Lorber. Might just stick with the DVD for now since the old Blu-Ray did have DNR. Now The Score and Tropic Thunder does seem like an improvement from Kino Lorber so I might pick those up one day. But I know that Kino Lorber is hit or miss.
The bluray was really struggling at times and the 4k is a lot more consistent. It's hard to predict what you'll get from Paramount sometimes but this one is not bad

Honestly not much of a stand out difference in quality, but the new color grading and encoding are really good.
Compression still has room for improvement for sure.
@@hdnumerique Definitely. I'd wait for a price drop personally
I have the Paramount Presents blu ray, not sure if it’s worth upgrading from that. I’ve upgraded for a lot less in the past though!

Thank you for the videos you take the time to make. I have made purchases based on some of your videos and they have all turned out great
Me quedo con el Blu-ray, apenas hay diferencia. Hay muchas películas que por sólo ser 4K es sacar dinero y esta es una de ellas
Excellent test une légère différence par rapport au blu ray j attendrai une promo

Why do Paramount keep repurposing old transfers like this? Are they really that broke?
Greedy.
They have to as they are losing a lot with streaming service.
Hence price hike on streaming.
Just darkens the picture a little .
I’ll stick with Blu Ray
Guess I should have just held onto the Blu!
No difference at all... No need to buy the 4K version
Omg the 4k makes it sooooo much more grainy. Yuck, saved my money thank God.
