Great video as always!! The one obvious thing I could see is that the weight distribution sure is no more 50/50, based on the cornering you did here. Feels like that’s the cost of putting a heavy JZ in place of 3SGE. With a turbo’ed 3SGE, I think you would have caught on with the driver very easily, cutting through corners smoothly
From my understanding (I could be wrong) but the 2JZGE IS300’s are internally balanced for a 49/51 weight dist. The turbo setup is a little heavier so I’m assuming around 48/52 or 47/53 if I had to guess. I’m also taking it slow in this video due to the conditions. Well get a video together with some hard driving soon!

Hey man not silly! The cars swapped so it’s looking for o2 sensors that don’t exist, lexus of this gen in order to indicate bad o2 shows blinking trac and CEL! Hope this helps
its a po440 code and the oem computer has no control over the engine anymore, it runs strictly off the AEM. The oem computer just controls the body harness which is the security system and AC @@werlo_
You have one of the cleanest IS300 out there. It's really nice. But why do you all have to have like 400-500-600 hp? Is it more fun? I think that Bunta would tell you quite the opposite :) I didn't even see that you could use full potential of that power, so what is it for exaclty ? I know that conditions aren't perfect, and I dont think that would change the situation much. I'm only saying this because of your Initial D reference 😂 Would love to see your opinion on this. I absolutely agree! America is all about excess.... However, this powerband (in my opinion at least) is the most usable for a 2jz setup. Here, I'm considered underpowered funny enough. Up in the mountains, given, on a clear day I can actually use the entire powerband and its quite wonderful. I've progressed from 180whp to 350whp to 440whp to 581whp what you see here today. Any more than this is not usable up here, hell this may still be a little too much but I'm in boost by 2500 rpm and in it until 8k rpm and I can always turn it down. On bigger tracks like road atlanta 600whp is perfect so its all about setting it up for where its going. Day to day i think 600whp is perfect for this car. I'm about to buy a 93 rx7 FD that makes 300-350whp and that will be more of the mountain car going forward but I like having options.
I’d love to you hit the track and have an instructor teach you some thing. You’re already a great driver and the track will unlock the next level for your skills. BTW I hope you take this comment as a compliment and me telling you not to drive fast on the roads. Lol.

T51 doesn’t make the dose ( stustustu ) happen. Thats called compressor surge. T51 mod makes the actual whistle from the turbo spooling more prominent.
The cluster wasn’t calibrated for 6cyl at the time. Car revs to 8k actually. Heads built for 10k+ but the bottom end still has stock rods so can’t mess with that. One day we’ll do built bottom for more revs
@@souljakriss yes it is! They call it a 1.5jz not because of the liters but because it’s like the next level of a 1j i guess? Not sure why but that’s really been the common name for years. 3.0L bottom end, 1jzvvti head for the revs and sound

I use motul 10w40! Honestly it depends what kinda temp you live in. Doesn’t get too cold where I’m at so the motul 300v is my best bet
