Seth. I opened my phone and say a headline that said Eric Bieniemy lands job in back in the NFL. My heart fell and I was about to pass out when I read he was hired by Chicago. Thank goodness not the Texans
Bieniemy is a great position coach and locker room coach on offense so he is a good hire for them. He won’t call plays or be a head coach so they will be fine.
Of the currently interviewed candidates, my preference goes 1) Stenavich - what he did with the Green Bay OL and their QB protections sounds like a great plan 2) Caley - McVay's guys seem to succeed more than not & he could be the next Boy Wonder 3) Johnson - Not my first pick, clearly, but I wouldn't be mad about it Everything else would feel like a disappointment to me
Aside from play calling experience, I think the most important thing to a prospective OC is position coach experience. Slowick never coached a position before becoming an OC - red flag
I was pushing for an OC with OC experience (maybe HC exp. too) and a ring. That's gone by the wayside. I am leaning towards Adam Stenavich the Packers OC. I like the emphasis on the run game and an ex-O-Line coach. Then you can snag Udinski as pass game coordinator. Keenum for QB, get Dre to take WRs, and Jason Whitten TE, and for RBs, let Stenavich and Munchak find a RB coach.

Thanks for keeping it 11 minutes.
Could have been 10 if not for boy wonder Udinski

That’s interesting about McVay’s guys. I haven’t put as much thought into the specific lineages as I should.
Chip Kelly was spotted in Houston today 👀
I have grown so numb to fake airport sightings that I didn’t look at the photo 😂. Did anybody dig up more info?

Oh that’s a great point
Is that Chip Kelley sighting at Houston Airport true?
No a wildcat ate him on the way to the airport
Yeah, they got a pic of him in the airport
Yes. But with the amount of high school talent in Houston, he was most likely in town on a recruiting visit.
I'd like to see Mike Munchak as OC
At a minimum O-Line coach. Wouldn't be any slackers around Mike.
I think he’s firmly retired at this point, but they could definitely have a conversation at least
Brennan Marion,
Sacramento State

They should hire Matt Scaub at this point 😂
😂😂😂😂 that could happen
NO ONE IN HOUSE PERIOD!!!!!!!! We are not serious if we do.
I think the number of people that Texans haven't interviewed is in the single digits
Lmao @ swiping like tinder😂
I heard the head coach of Boston college wants to try the NFL again as an OC. He might be worth a look.
Stop it!
Just make CJ the OC. He can call his own plays and do what needs to be done.
Anxious? I haven't been refreshing google and youtube constantly for a week straight. Uhhh
I hear you. Driving me crazy. I'm 67, hopefully I will get to see the Lombardi trophy in Houston.
🤠
We need real OC who play calls before. No more experiments crap. Doug Pederson would be a option. He has experience and won a supe bowl.
Grant looks like Johnny manziel
Dang it, now I can’t unsee it
@@SethPayneShow😭😭😭😭 yes yes mission accomplished 😭😭
Chip Kelly to raiders
Chip kelly
At this point it seems like he’s happy doing what he’s doing, unless he’s just REALLY good at playing the game
Chip or bust
Bill Lazor is the answer
I fear that I’m checking my bias so hard on Bill that I end up sounding down on him.
I'm not feeling anxious. They could take til the draft to find their OC, idgaf. Trust Demeco
They re going to screw it up. There is still three Patriots in the Texans organization.
