As a lions fan I was totally ok with losing this game to the Texans after the first half. Texans are a long suffering team and in the AFC so its the perfect one to lose. Also every year the lions have had an awful game in the middle of playing good and it serves as a great reality check and learning experience. It was Baltimore last year and Carolina the year before. Now if this was the learning experience game and they actually win it then there's just nothing the Texans could have done. It was meant to be

You’re right Abigail, DeMeco won’t fire Slowik. People are laughing at others who bring his name up but having John Gruden as a consultant wouldn’t be a bad thing. I think most sane people know that what he was accused of was bogus and he’s not a racist. Just having an offensive mind Slowik can talk to would be invaluable for Slowik.

Mixon was exactly right when he said the Texans have to stop playing not to lose and start playing to win. Slowik is not aggressive on offense especially when they have a lead at the half.

Seth, if you go back and look at the draft profile of Juice Scruggs they all have his negatives being exactly what we’re seeing. The bleacher report had him at the #9 center draft prospect. Incidentally they had Jarrett Patterson as the #6 prospect at center. Scruggs is exactly what they thought he would be.

Both sides show as vanilla... From the offense lacking creative route trees and schemes... to the defense being a "bend but don't break", predictable front... Neither side of the ball provides any dynamicism... Come this off-season that and the toughness as well as nastiness of this team needs to be addressed especially the interior lines on either side of the ball

Sadly, all my friends were messaging me saying congrats on the first half, and how great the Texans looked. I then had to tell them to wait until the end of the game to say anything, because we love blowing it in the second half. Looks like I wasn’t lying. So hard to be a fan sometimes. Run, run, pass.Demeco 1st year head coach, hired a 1st year offensive coordinator, with a 1st Qb and a 1st year center.. It dont take a brain scientist to see that would not work

DeMeco is a wimp as a coach. Bobby should be fired his play calling is so bad that it's costing the Texans big time. That is unexceptable if you actually care and your goal is to win a Super Bowl.

Hey Seth, been a texans fan since day 1, I am tired of watching Bobby slowik get very conservative in the second half, not just last night but every game, whether they are winning or losing, why can't the texans ever just blow a team out, just run the score up

Admittedly, I am really upset with loss to detroit. Mostly because we choked like Romo, in a game we should have won, again. Everyone, including me, walked into that game expecting to lose. Then they proved in the first half, they have the talent to beat anyone. Without our best starters even. Then they lay it down. Decided that was good enough. Our defense gave the game to the offense, with a bow wrapped around it. Losing Lassiter was a big hit, but we blew a 3 possession lead, in the second half. We haven't scored a touchdown in the second half, since week 6? We used to be all clutch. It drove me crazy, but we won. Now we have zero clutch factor. Fairnbairn is a great kicker, but has now cost us 2 games that he could have won us. That kick to win was a mile wide. Detroit drills the same kick, with a rookie, in our stadium. That was beautiful, unless you're a texans fan. We blew it. Bobby Slovak used to call a wide range of plays, but now it seems he just wants to kill Mixon. Detroit is amazing. However, this game did show me we have the talent to go to the superbowl, if we get back to finishing it off. We need to play complete games. We won almost every game, from behind, by one score, at the end of game, last year. Now we rock the first half and play for the other team the second half. I swear Tunsil and Titus are playing for bets or bribes. They are two of the highest paid o linemen in the NFL. We could probably replace our whole line with Tunsil's salary. He is acting like Allen Iverson too? Wtf with Titus Howard stripping our own qb? Those 2 dudes are a cancer to our team. There is something wrong with them. We should replace Titus and tunsil with Zack Martin from Dallas and Robert Hunt from Carolina. We should go ahead and replace Diggs with Tyreek Hill. We need a monster center from the draft. Texans need an experienced OC but Demeco hasn't suffered enough with Sloppy Slowik.

85% of the issue is Bobby calling some high school ass plays. It’s genuinely so easy to see coming. Literally just call a cover 2 blitz on 1st and second down & you’ll stop us. If there are fans able to literally call out the play call before the play starts, you better believe NFL DC’s can as well.

The issue is that other teams adapt and adjust in the game and Slowik just runs his same scripted offense that he wrote before the game.

I’m not a huge fan of Slowik’s play calling but when one third of the league runs the same offense the defenses in the league will figure it out. I think a portion of the issue is that the league has figured out this offensive style
