Watching NICK's canal series all the way down, from Yangzhou to Zhenjiang and then to Suzhou, the style along the way seems to be changing. Unlike Shandong, a typical Jiangnan style gradually emerges. Suzhou is a developed city, and it is pleasing to see that the pagodas and temples there are well taken care of. Thanks to NICK for the wonderful introduction and hard editing, I wish you good luck and a smooth journey!!
@@nickinchina2552 I fondly remember my visit in spring 1987. I can confirm that some of the largest pagodas were standing at that time as well. 😉 Like most I was mostly focused on the beautiful gardens.
Suzhou it's incredible, i love how it has a lot of traditional places. Btw i'am so sad, I was hoping to see perhaps the most famous one in the most famous temple in Suzhou, the Hanshan Temple Pagoda :(( Im joking, Maybe for another video haha. Amazing video as always Nick, as a lover of Chinese culture and architecture your channel it's a treasure!
I visited Xi'an during 端午节, it was a nightmare. The whole world was crowding in the city. I can imagine how locals live daily, there was traffic jams all the time even 7am or 1am. Crazy. Terra-cotta Warriors and 大唐不夜城 was super crowded, you can't move. 😂
Enjoy your historical narrations on all the places you visited
Thanks so much! Shame the weather wasn't great for this one
Congratulations and thanks Nick for showing us these gems. Big, small, twins and anything in between.
Some great history im Suzhou. Everyone should go to see the Tiger Hill Pagoda!

@@nickinchina2552 i was joking Nick haha don't worry. Keep it up buddy, thank you for showing us China!
Suzhou is seriously underrated amongst international tourists
Yeh maybe. I think it is still quite well visited by foreign travellers though..especially for the gardens
Interesting historical snippets. I collect Chinese stamps, instead of having to walk up 100's of steps in pagodas.
😂😂

Xi'an gets crazy during holidays. I hid in my apartment 😂
Please cover the Yingxian pagoda (the original oldest wooden pagoda in China still survive).

Suzhou had tons of history dating back from the Qin dynasty.
It's a fantastic city. Plenty to see and do especially if you are interested in history. Great place
