When we were coming up in here in NYC you could hear all his awesome hits constantly in the hood with his great voice and his huge orchestra. He had hit after hit, Bobby was the man!!!! This was adult stuff, made you learn real quick about male and female relationships. He was so soulful and his band had the big sound and they were tight.
My compliments to you Omar Shabazz for this very fine tribute to Bobby Blue Bland . I've been a lifetime fan of the unique talent of Bland . I have over 100 of his recordings....mostly original first pressings on Vinyl LPs . Saw him live in New York City around the year 1988 . Bland was a perfectionist and had the highest standards that his backup musicians had to satisfy . Again Omar....great job on this tribute....excellent audio quality etc .

Margaret, Bobby cranked out hit after hit, his music could be heard throughout the hood, it was blaring through hand-held transistor radio's or hi-fi sets (the ones that looked like a piece of furniture that had four legs).
