  • I use these cheap RF switches a lot for home automation, garden lights, lamps etc. so I thought I would make a quick how to video. They can be purchased from banggood here:

    I bought one of the same little RF Switch as you describe here. Your YT video was a great time-saving, because no instructions for the wiring came with the device. One little thing that I did not like about the RF Switch. It has no LED Indicator Lights on the black plastic box. I wanted to be able to 'view' this black box, to know if the Unit is ON or OFF. My use for this item is to transmit 20kHz sound waves.
    So I went and bought two (2) blue flashing LEDs, then drilled two holes 5mm dia. I wired the LEDs to the NO Terminals, via a 470 ohm series resistor for each LED.
    Now, everything works, and I can see in an instant if the RF Relay is ON. Thanks for a very useful video. Greetings from Australia.

      You still need 12v to power the switch but you can then switch more or less than 12v by doing away with the red jumper cable (going from left to right) and inputing your switch voltage on the right hand side where the 12v jumper did go, hope this helps

    • @cabuu4122
      @cabuu4122  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Certainly, but you'll need an RF transmitter and it'll take some coding to ensure the correct signal is sent. I've used something like this before with some success... uk.banggood.com/Geekcreit-433Mhz-RF-Decoder-Transmitter-With-Receiver-Module-Kit-For-ARM-MCU-Wireless-Geekcreit-for-Arduino-products-that-work-with-official-Arduino-boards-p-74102.html?cur_warehouse=CN&rmmds=search

      @@cabuu4122 is there a way to take the handheld fob and mod it to be a dedicate transmitter. Maybe a way to simulate the key button press on the fob with a relay that trips when it detects the 12v signal? I'm really interested in learning more and I'll definitely look at that link. Thank you btw!
      So I already have a 433mhz transmitter and receiver that can control a motor via a fob for forward, reverse and stop. I was just thinking maybe I could modify the fob so I don't have to press the buttons some how?
      I know very little almost nothing about adrino board. I know what they are and kinda how they work but if I can work around having to use it. That would be ideal because I have nothing you need to program or test or etc on adrino. What kinda coding are we talking? I've only done very little with coding. Mostly just modify existing code with code someone else generously provided. I'm willing to certainly learn. That's not the issue. But if there's a way to do it with what I already have. That would be the way I'd like to go if I could.
      But I do have electronic knowledge and have programmed ic in college using breadboards and such but that's been 20+ years ago lol. My thinking these days is do it the easiest way with what I already have. I just feel that since the TX and Receiver are already "talking" to each other. Maybe it would be easier to just use the 12v signal to trip relays to simulate button presses from the fob. And I can get extra fob if I mess it up, really cheap.
