This is great Scott , I received my hard copy of the rules today but it is so much easier to be shown how to, rather than read how to. looking forward to the next vid. Cheers.
Right in at the deep end: the corps-level game seems quite complicated! I’m currently setting up a divisional game and am struggling with all the subtle tweaks made since GDA1. For a ‘streamlined’ set of rules, it certainly has plenty of add-on complications (not a bad thing: will just take a little getting used to).😊
Double check 3.7 Corps Initiave Procedure. At Corps level games only add die to Initiative for Divisions with 2+ Hesitant. So the Russo-Prussians would have only rolled 3 dice and not 5.
@@matthewwheelden9263 it’s awkwardly written I think. I’ve interpreted to be as follows: I can roll a die, get a 2 and then reroll it OR roll two dice simultaneously. If he has 0-1 tasking he gets a free ‘second chance’ so to speak. So if the Bold Brigadier has 0 or 1 tasking it’s essentially a ‘re-roll’ if he has 2 or more tasking he rolls just 1 Die or will need an ADC with the Brigade Attachment tasking. I’ll seek clarification.
I sent the following to DCRB AND GOT THE FOLLOWING reply: “ Hi David (again). I’m slightly confused on how Bold Brigs roll to activate. My understanding is as follows: 1) if using 0-1 taskings they roll 2 D6 and chose the higher (which to me is the same as having a re-roll). If they have 2 or more Bde taskings they simply roll 1 D6 (no reroll) and thus would need a Brigade Attachment. OR. 2) if using 0-1 Taskings they roll 2 D6 and chose the higher, and if both are 1 or 2 THEN get a reroll but If they have 2 or more Bde taskings they simply roll 1 D6 and if they score a 1-2 THEN get a reroll”? DCRB REPLY: “the first one”.
Thanks again for doing these. Very handy to go back and listen to several times to keep the rules fresh in my mind while I paint more battalions!
I’m just about to upload a ‘wash-up’ of the Bootcamp addressing any errors I made.
An old soldier. Excellence and clarity.

That’s the intent.
Great video - thanks for doing it. Goy my copy of GdA2 yesterday

Great Video Scott. I just got my copy in and plan to run some games in the near future. your playthrough is very helpful!
Like politicians, I’m here to help. Now send money!!! 😆
Excellent!
A lot to learn so I’ll be watching this again with troop on the table
Nice intro Scott....reading the rules with interest...
Be aware I did make some mistakes that I clear up in the subsequent videos
Good video looking forwards to the next
I must say your display cabinets are fantastic ❤
IKEA!
Outstanding. I'd love to upload a video to cover all the mistakes I made in my first game of GDA2, but i think it would be 12 hours long 😂
This one’s about 30 mins but there’s other stuff also
That seems about right. Your errors were exponentially less than mine. Thanks in advance for doing the "correction" video 👍

Already picked that up,.. as you will see in Part2 (if you watch it)
Double check the Bold Brigadiers. I have 2D6 and use highest score for 1 or 0 taskings not a reroll as done at 34.00

I’m retired. And I’m in Australia. No IRA here. Besides, if someone wants to have a crack, bring it on
