Das ist nicht ganz richtig Commodore hatte zwei geniale Computer entwickelt, den C64 und den Amiga 500. Danach hat das Management von Commodore so ziemlich alles falsch gemacht. Fantastic video with a awesome collection of games. I’ve played about 1/3 of them. I’d like to add a few more of MY personal favourites. Here we go my friend : Black crypt , dylan dog , escape from colditz , eye of the beholder 1 and 2 , wing commander , legends of valour , space crusade , hero quest , space hulk , heimdall , dune 2 , dungeon master , golden axe , prince of persia , ranx , perihelion , ishar , sim city , captive , d/generation , hired guns , their finest hour , pirates , F1 GP , frontier , murder , alfred chicken , rainbow island , zool , team yankee , advanced destroyer simulator , M4 Abrams and dragon strike. Sorry if it’s too many , but I didn’t want to leave anyone out. Stay safe.
Really good list. We could all very easily come up with our lists I'm sure and have differences but this one really does show off the Amiga and the wide assortement of games it can do. But I do want to say thank you for putting Woody's World on the list. I think it and Harlequin (which sadly didn't make your list) are both very under-rated platformers on the Mig.
Cannon fodder! "War, never been so much fun..." the song in the intro was great. And I rember my friend had it on PC or Atari but that version did not have the intro-song.. Dont know why...
A surprising number of awesome looking games that I haven't seen before! Thank you for giving me at least a dozen new titles to try (and maybe 20 new tracks to add to my Amiga music playlist) :)
after thinking about it for a while, i think that another world was the most important game in my early life. i can still remember been blown away watching the intro when i was just a kid.
Boas, meu amigo. Que grande lista de jogos do Amiga. Posso ser sincero, nunca joguei amiga e só uma vez na minha vida em puto na casa de um amigo meu. Já vi fotos actualmente do computador e de jogos. Mas até tem jogos muito interessantes. Abraços
One fun fact is that in most of the videos you find on TH-cam showcasing the Amiga version of Lemmings, there's an error on disk 2, hence the scratchy instruments in the music of the second level on the lowest difficulty. The very same scratchy noise can also be heard on other stages of Lemmings using the "corrupted" copy of disk 2.
Thank you and it was nice to see decent amount of gameplay of each. There's so many similar videos that cover so little that you barely get idea of genre of the game. Man at the near end that Turrican 2 soundtrack. It hits me every single time. So good action platformer soundtrack, dare I even say _the_ best Amiga soundtrack ever.
I never played any Amiga games, I only player Nes games. But the graphics on amiga is amazing. The artwork and pixel art, and the innovative original concepts in games is just astounding. Very impressed how much effort went into the games.
Most of this games would hold on even today. PS you forgot couple of games Switchblade 1, Chaos Engine 2, Lotus 1 and 3, Mortal Kombat 2, Hired Guns, Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder . Amiga had great RPG also .. ahhh nostalgia hits like a train
I had everyone of these games , all pirated , I had 1000s of Amiga disks in the 90s , the Amiga was the council estate kids megadrive , it was so easy to get cracked games for it
Yes it was 😀 I was also one of those kids, first with cassetes on the Spectrum, then disks on the Amiga and later also on PC, disks and CDs (I had a single speed CD burner) 😉
So many great games like lotus .pang. toki.unreal .Apidya. turrican.not sure why final fight is on the list as a poor version of the game.( didn't help the lead programmer didn't like the original) about as much fun as kicking ya toe on the coffee table lol

Thank you for another amazing video of the Amiga system! I wish i had more time to play all those games, and some more on the same machine: Eye of the Beholder I and II, Fate: Gates of Dawn, Perihelion, Hired Guns, Lotus III: The Ultimate Challenge, Captive, Starflight 1 & 2, Heart of China, Rise of the Dragon, The Duel: Test Drive II, Dungeon Master, Frontier: Elite II, Cool Spot, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Jungle Strike, Kick Off 2, Goal, Seek and Destroy, Sid Meier's Pirates! Man, there is so many more great games...
Ambermoon the sequel to Amberstar is another superb game that deserves being mentioned [being in my personal top 10 of all Amiga games, definitely]. It's a fantastic isometric rpg plus dungeon-crawler with a revolutionary 3D engine [for that time]. Superb artstyle and iconic soundtrack. Truly my personal RPG big bang experience. So many fond Amiga memories... anyways, great video!
Amazing video. I'm kind of surprised how there are so many ive not heard of before. :O I love how you didn't frontload it with all the big hitters so there are still obvious titles near the end, just makes it clear how many great games there were.

I'm trying to remember a game on the amiga 500. where you play an old man who throws snot and runs around. and can stick to worms. think he had a beard figure. Any one know what that game is calld ?
I had fun watching the entire video! Sad to see how generally these games get omitted by all the Amiga game vids I've been checking out - Nitro - Wings of Fury - Earl Weaver Baseball+manager expansion - Wayne Gretzky Hockey + league expansion pack - Speedball 1 - Dino Dini Kick Off
Both of Earl Weaver Baseball (and commish/manager expansion) and WGH 1 and 2 and Hockey League simulator were indeed awesome. Truth is though, both of these are geared towards North American audiences and therefore don’t have the exposure to our European cousins. That said, I so agree on these two titles, they were incredible and are in the top ten most played Amiga games for me, along with every single Cinemaware release (except for Sinbad, just couldn’t get into that one lol)
Almost made it to this list. Amazing gem, no doubt! There are so many incredible games for the Amiga that it's really hard to come up with such a list. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video and for leavIng your much appreciated comment! Cheers

Beautiful video and inspiring selection indeed, some unknown (latest) games also for me in this selection, but how to not consider "ESSENTIAL" for the Amiga a game like Indy-500 c'mon?
Played (and loved) Indianapolis 500 on the PC. But it is, indeed, an amazing game on the Amiga. Probably the 151th game on the list ;) Man, there are so many incredible games on this platform. Have to bring more ;)
Amiga was the first computer to really bring forward the use of a mouse on a computer. One thing I'm missing in all these Amiga games review is to know if it was a mouse game or joystick game. Amiga was the pioneer of so many great mouse games: Ports of Call, Sim City, Cannon Fodder, Defender of the Crown, Lemmings, Secret of Monkey Island, Lost Patrol, Warlords, etc. And, those were the games I loved the most.
This list is amazing, most I have heard of or seen in action but games like oneeacapee I never heard of and now wanna try! What good games have been left out, I loved wild cup soccer as a kid but it's a bit too simplistic a game I think now. Love Rick Dangerous! Missing a dizzy game I think
Excellent List. Here's some that are missing: Arkanoid Battle Chess Budokan Centurion Chambers of Shaolin Championship Manager Chase H.Q. Dawn Patrol Emlyn Hughes International Soccer F/A-18 Interceptor Gunship 2000 Heimdall Indianapolis 500 K240 Life & Death Panza Kick Boxing Ports of Call Power Drift Railroad Tycoon Rise of the Robots Robocop Rockstar Ate My Hampster Sabre Team Silent Service Sim City 2000 Skidmarks TV Sports Basketball TV Sports Boxing Zany Golf
There was a rather good Amiga game that I used to play in my youth. One of the last games that I bought for Amiga, and thanks to this video, I now know the name: Woody's World. Cheers! To be brutally honest, I think by far most of the Amiga games that I've ever played weren't good even back then. But there are certainly some gems too. I remember that when we finally got our first PC, it was hard to find any decent games for it so Amiga held its ground for a year or two as the main gaming device. Did I see Space Crusade on this video? I don't think I did. Definitely one of the best Amiga games that I've played.
This is the best Amiga compilation video I have ever seen! Such a killer selection and dope presentation! Its audio gold too! Such killer tunes in that Era, cant wait to get my hands on one again soon. I miss these good ol games!
Looks like my collection. I love my Amiga. I have every game too. Either all on disk, or installed on the internal hard drive. Some require "kick", many have been AGA fixed and trained by either my old group, or by many of the other groups back in the day. I salute you sir. 😉
The standout for me on the Amiga is the blitter and that buttery smooth scrolling - coming from the previous 8-bit machines this was a big thing BITD. I remember a few of the titles, Gods, Alien Breed, R-Type, Turrican etc. The memories I cherish though are the productivity applications, DPaint, Impulse's Imagine, Real3d, Sculpt and for music Noise Tracker and Pro Tracker. Like others I know, the Amiga lead to a career in 3D modeling and animation e.g. working in Newtek's Lightwave.
I'm Antonio from Italy, i have and know this fantastic games for the "mith" Amiga computers, i have one Amiga 500 and one Amiga 1200 classics, i love "Battle Isle '93", "Dune 2", "Golden Axe", and all the games of this video.
ahhhh memories, a dive into the past =) thanks for this great video. I forgot about some games that I used to play daily when I was 6 ~ 12 (like Pushover!), and at that time I was quite good. Now after 30 years I suck! =D Cheers
Who remember Hugo game ?? My features was Another world and Hugo and flashback and wings and few games more can’t recall them I remember the Beginning Of Desert blow my mind 😅 All the best for the uploader and all ppl in comments 🙏
This video actually showcases how Amiga games were in many ways better than console and PC games. The sound and music was almost always better on Amiga.
For me the this list would be perfect with Walker, Rick Dangerous, Pirates!, Dogs of War and Wings of Fury included. But that is just my opinion it`s an awesome list almost perfect!
A forgotten Gem that feel should be noted would be: "The Halley Project" That game needs a modern remake... You basically can go to every moon, planet, and comet in our Solar System and land on each one! :D Other than that... Dune 2, Napalm Crimson Crisis, BloodWych, and Hired Guns are essentials for me :D
my fav: Arabian Night Fire & Ice Chuck rock Project X Pinball fantasies Lotus Challenger Out Run Ivan "Ironman" Super Off Road Sensible soccer Pang Rolling Thunder Chaos Engine Giana sister Alien breed Zool Toki

Ainda não entendi como há pessoas que dizem que o Amiga não tem jogos fixes. Da tua lista só não jogava 2 ou três.
Magic Pockets, Prince of persia, james pond, acquatic games,
So many games!!.... Ahhhhhhhh!!! The memories!!!
Excellent List. Here's some that are missing:
Arkanoid
Battle Chess

Yeah i loved playing moonstone, great game.
Dude thank you for taking me back to my childhood! Perfect collection of games and appreciate your effort on this! Best! Amiga forever :)
My pleasure! :)
Nice! Glad I could help! :) Space Crusade almost made it to this list. Almost! :) Thanks for stopping by!
Obrigado pelo vídeo, nele tem muitos jogos interessantes para mim conhecer.
This is the best Amiga compilation video I have ever seen! Such a killer selection and dope presentation! Its audio gold too! Such killer tunes in that Era, cant wait to get my hands on one again soon. I miss these good ol games!
Glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate it! Feel free to watch my other Amiga related content ☺️ Cheers!
@@itsaPIXELthing I definitely will! Subscribed! Cheers :)
Enjoy the content! Thank you so much! Cheers 🍻
Nice list! Can I add one game more? Elvira Mistress of the Dark :)
je n'ai pas vu croisière pour un cadavre (cruise for a corpse) dommage c'était un de mes préférés
It's a great game! No doubt! :) Loved it! Couldn't fit them all in this video... Thanks for watching and for leaving your feedback!
On escape???!!! Holy crap, this games looks so good
Try it! It's awesome :)
Wow, a top 150 Essential Amiga games without The Settlers!
I miss Super Cars 2, and Dogs of war on that list :)
Great games, indeed!
Looks like my collection. I love my Amiga. I have every game too. Either all on disk, or installed on the internal hard drive. Some require "kick", many have been AGA fixed and trained by either my old group, or by many of the other groups back in the day.
I salute you sir. 😉
Thanks for your comment! Cheers!
Hi, Antonio! Thanks for stopping by!
ahhhh memories, a dive into the past =) thanks for this great video.
I forgot about some games that I used to play daily when I was 6 ~ 12 (like Pushover!), and at that time I was quite good. Now after 30 years I suck! =D
Cheers
Yeah, I know your pain ;) Cheers! Thanks for watching!
it kinda hurts that i got rid of all that at the end of the 90's
That's sad to hear 😞
A good list of games, but no Wiz n Liz is criminal!
Who remember Hugo game ?? My features was Another world and Hugo and flashback and wings and few games more can’t recall them
I remember the Beginning Of Desert blow my mind 😅
All the best for the uploader and all ppl in comments 🙏
This video actually showcases how Amiga games were in many ways better than console and PC games. The sound and music was almost always better on Amiga.
Amiga blew away everything about PC and Mac gaming and graphics back then. It wasn't even close.
Captures of many games like Superfrog only shows 25/30fps when the game was running at 50fps (PAL).
Nice one, but I think it needed to be 200 essential Amiga games.
Yeah.. there are so many..
@@itsaPIXELthing for sure, I miss those days
For me the this list would be perfect with Walker, Rick Dangerous, Pirates!, Dogs of War and Wings of Fury included. But that is just my opinion it`s an awesome list almost perfect!
Nice ones, also! No doubt! :)
Rick Dangerous was in there...that WAAAAH always makes me smile
A forgotten Gem that feel should be noted would be: "The Halley Project"
That game needs a modern remake...
You basically can go to every moon, planet, and comet in our Solar System and land on each one! :D
Other than that... Dune 2, Napalm Crimson Crisis, BloodWych, and Hired Guns are essentials for me :D
my fav:
Arabian Night
Fire & Ice
Chuck rock
Project X
Pinball fantasies
Lotus Challenger
Out Run
Ivan "Ironman" Super Off Road
Sensible soccer
Pang
Rolling Thunder
Chaos Engine
Giana sister
Alien breed
Zool
Toki
No Troddlers, boulder dash or IK+😔 those were by far the best games i played on my Amiga 500.
Love it! Thx so much!
Great video, anyway 👍🏻
Check my winter games collection, glad if u like 😉🤘🏻
I was afraid you missed Turrican II, but eventually, near the end, there it was!
What a game ;)
Ho can you have both music and sound FX on BLOOD MONEYYYYYYY ?????????
Shadow of the beast and FA18 Interceptor definitely belong at the top of the list.
I didn't know how to even play FA18... I still don't 😆 I guess Flight Sims arn't my thing.
