I genuinely thought you were an artist with 130k subscribers or something while watching you draw. Also, props for doing all that under pressure and not giving up on the project. I'm no artist, but I would've probably given up because it was no required assignment for school or something. Great work.

I use to think that using 3d assets was cheating too. Then after watching several videos of actual mangaka I realized that it's a very common method. Some mangaka have actual people pose for them then trace that. Some go out into whatever town or city they want to feature in their manga, take pictures and trace that. That's not to say that they aren't skilled artists. They just use such methods to save time.

Hey this is an awesome video, the story, the art, everything is perfect, i just wanted to tell you that normally mangas (in general) are drawn to be readed from right to left.
As a aspiring mangaka myself, wrist pain can be a real pain (heh get it..sorry) when trying to meet deadlines. Make sure to take breaks to stretch your wrist and to well stretch in general. Additionally wearing a compression glove can help with the pain. Remember, take good care of your wrist cause carpal tunnels a bitch.
Some art advice, since you said you struggle with anatomy and clothing. I noticed you jump straight into drawing your characters, some artists can do this but it takes years to perfect and an existing knowledge and understanding of anatomy. To get better at anatomy the first step is to not rely on 3d assets, sure they're helpful and I use them too when I can't figure out poses, but when you struggle with anatomy they will only inhibit your progress. Next is to practice drawing the basic proportions of the human body, there are several tutorials on YT to chose from. Knowing what's beneath the clothes and how they move will help you draw clothes better.
I have two main problems with making Manga I need more motivation since whenever I get free time I end up playing video games lol I also suck at drawing and finding inspiration lol
I got to writing manga once and the entirety of my freetime was spent trying to find a note book and ripping out useless pages that I wrote on as a kid and I ran out of time and haven't gotten back to it since

@@halioweens its like drawing a little versions/Ideas of the panel in but simplified. Like planning where to put the characters and the speech bubbles, when you're satisfied with how things you put you can make a bigger and detailed version. Its ok, Just to help a future mangaka, goodluck!! ❤️❤️❤️
@@halioweens typically thumbnails/storyboards are actuay LESS detailed that the sketches you did. They can be simple human blobs/stick figures even - as long as YOU understand what they're conveying to work from later. Many artists draw these purposefully at a small scale to avoid spending time on details. Then grab and scale up to use as a draft to their sketch layer or a ref/guide. Artists can benefit a lot from them as they can quickly highlight flaws in panel layout or flow, and help to spot panels that may need more/less emphasis. (Ex: Something intended to be impactful could get lost in the page and may require a larger panel devoted to it. ) When on a tight deadline - it can also help to narrow down which panels are essential and which ones can be cut or can have less time devoted to them. + Including the text bubbles is also ideal since they are another element where the flow/layout is important.
I use a HUION Kamvas Pro 16 for my drawing tablet and ClipStudio Paint Pro for the program, as for everything else it's up to your liking! thanks so much! :)
Dude, I love this but thumbnailing can cut your work when making and to think what the whole panel would look. ❤😅
i'm confused as to what you mean, i'm sorry can you explain :(
@@halioweens its like drawing a little versions/Ideas of the panel in but simplified. Like planning where to put the characters and the speech bubbles, when you're satisfied with how things you put you can make a bigger and detailed version. Its ok, Just to help a future mangaka, goodluck!! ❤️❤️❤️
@@Huzlnut ahhh i see, so a more detailed version of the sketches i did okok thank you!
@@halioweens haha, hope you got it. 😅 Whyte Manga - about storyboard should make it sense.❤️
(Ex: Something intended to be impactful could get lost in the page and may require a larger panel devoted to it. )
When on a tight deadline - it can also help to narrow down which panels are essential and which ones can be cut or can have less time devoted to them.
+ Including the text bubbles is also ideal since they are another element where the flow/layout is important.
Thus got me hype to work harder thanks
no problem! good luck!
AHHH I HOPE U WIN UR ART IS SO COOL!!! ^_^

One of my dreams is to make a manga, do you have any tips on it? also what equipment do you use?
I use a HUION Kamvas Pro 16 for my drawing tablet and ClipStudio Paint Pro for the program, as for everything else it's up to your liking! I think for tips, getting starting practicing and just drawing things over and over to get a feel for your style as well as what you wish to achieve is important. I started making manga a month ago, and I am learning by doing, so I can't give pro advice haha.
This Is Awesome. You’re doing everything I want to do 🤯
