I love the smell of milling cedar, walnut smells good too. I enjoy seeing that old M, I spent many an hour bushhogging with ours when I was a kid. It brings back memories.
Question, what diameter would the small end need to be for 8"x8" post's? We are in OK and the eastern red cedar is a invasive pest here. Bandsaw type mills are all we can find in our area.
Nice little saw you have there. Cedar is nice with the color and smell and nothing else looks like it. How far into Tenn. are you? I went to school at ETSU
16’ but that’s a stretch. the carriage is just 9’ long, so there’s a lot of log hanging off each end and 16 footers are heavy on a small mill. 14’ would be comfortable but anything longer than that requires a lot of patience. Thanks for watching!
Jefferson County. hey, those Woodland Mills are a great machines for the price! we’d thought about buying one to saw Walnut and to edge with, when things need to be more precise. these old mills cut good but really need an edger to dial a finer dimension in . Thanks for watching. Be safe out there.
@ Monroe County here, Tellico Plains. Harley riders also. Trying to figure out how I could get some cedar logs or something other than hard woods. Any suggestions?

Howdy!
If they run true from end to end and you want to knock a good bit of the white wood off, I’d add 3 inches.
Thanks for watching.
