- Brother Achalananda, vice president of Self-Realization Fellowship, discusses ways we can cultivate faith-which, as Paramahansa Yogananda explained, goes beyond mere belief and is grounded in actual experience of the Divine within ourselves.
To cultivate faith, “we have to start with one quality which [Paramahansa Yogananda] mentions in his commentary on the Bhagavad Gita as being the foremost quality that every devotee has to develop to succeed in returning to God,” Brother Achalananda says. “And that quality is fearlessness….Fearlessness means faith in God.”
As we work to develop fearlessness, we have much more ability to make progress on the spiritual path because we are no longer holding ourselves back; we are going through life with the proper positive attitude, with increasing faith.

So grateful for this ability to listen to all these SRF talks online, especially when we need them and also when we are not always able to get to a temple. Brother Achilananda used to be at the Lake Shrine. For me, he is a saint due to things I experienced and saw. God bless Brother and how humble, patient and loving he was with people who would come up to him. SRF is a path that produces real saints. All we have to do is follow in their footsteps. We are so blessed, and no matter what, to "keep on keeping on" as Bro. Achilananda would say. Jai Guru.

So, I had just finished this video about 10 minutes ago and was contemplating its contents while washing dishes, when a Good Humor truck pulled into my apartment complex parking lot--in September--playing what tune? "Come All Ye Faithful"! (I swear I am not making this up. And these ice cream trucks have only appeared here a handful of times this season.)
So much power in Brothers talk that had me in intense sobbing of gratitude and humility from his conveyance of God's incomparable, constant, unconditional love, compassion, understanding and generosity that overwhelms like nothing, and no one else can. 🙏🏿🙏🏽🙏🏻💛🤍💙

I suffer from poverty mind lots of years until one day i ask god for money on a bank acount and he gave me a account with my name but for money that not was for me ja, funny god, i ask him a million pesos account of money and my father say one day i trust you son i put you on my account for emergencys ja, funny god... i ask him for a raise and nothing came.
One day afther to many years of suffering i ask for a raise angry or i quit and got it... ask it again later and got it.
I just need to ask?? he wanted for me to be more agresive or have self value?? Caracter.
I dont know. But the mind of povery or constant suffering got lost.
One time i ask for a house and i got it, like magic god or spirit works.
I read in one of Master's books, when we affirm to use repetition and intensity. I work on these too. God bless you.
