Once I get distracted and lose my consciousness I pause the video immediately. I regain my presence and turn back on video. I don't want to miss an ounce of what Michael is saying.😊
Thank you, I will take this on my journey through life and adventures. Singer has helped me understand the turbulence of life and how to better understand how to deal with it in a better way. My mood is better, my stress is lower, my outlook is better and so much more. ❤
@@senitastillwell5040 nice 😁 We have heard it a million times that “Life is short” but you don’t really grasp that until latter…..in life when the true reality sets in 😬 Stay positive and be relentless ♥️
I have been wondering what the nature of grace is? Is the state Michael is describing (not being "owned...you are the light, you are the consciousness") grace?
I always listen to Mr. Singer's talks on my drives to and from work. This one today had me in tears everything clicked and I understand now. Forever thankful for what this man has done for me and everyone who he comes into contact with such an amazing experience to finally understand. ❤🥹🙏
I have an important question. After starting to watch my thoughts, on what basis should I decide which one to drop and which one to follow. Please guide. It would be great if someone can share Michael Singer's video on this topic. Thank you.
Follow only the thoughts that you willfully create with your intelligent mind. For example, learning a new language or solving a math problem. Be aware of, but don't follow the thoughts that are auto-generated by your personal mind. These thoughts are based on all the things you've held onto from your past. They are not helpful. Relax and let them pass right through you. Mickey discusses this is many of his talks, so it's hard to choose just one to recommend. Peace, my friend.
I'm 24, turning 25 in a few months. It's kinda sad that I'm breathing all this time but I'm not living at all. Somehow, I wokeup and I got where I am on autopilot. All the moments have happened, but I experienced nothing. I wonder what it feels like to truly live, to be at every moment experiencing life and not the garbage of my past. My energy right now is so messed up, It's work to even do anything. I want to experience life even for just a day. I want to truly live. To make each moment better just because I interacted with it. I want to heal so much. But maybe if I really want it I will do it and not just stare at all these wounds. Somehow I am so attached with thoughts, emotions, self concept, or just anything in general, that I cannot handle anything going wrong. Even in this path I find myself constantly dissappointed on myself for not doing it right.
You and almost every human on this planet brother start with baby steps by just being aware when you react strongly to something touching your stuff then just try to breath through it we are all a work in progress
Start feeling those wounds rather than staring at them. It's hard, scary and painful but worth it. I now get snippets of present moment living and not just on auto pilot.
@@sspencer4036 so you were like me? How did you start doing it? I've lived most my life in autopilot that I just don't know how not to, most moments feel uncomfortable for me maybe that's why it's a habit to go on autopilot.
The fact that you are aware of this is the most important thing, many go through their entire life in chaos or detached from the current moment. Everything he says is true. People want to control everything, not be affened, run from discomfort, take the easy way out, talk about others, over think, miss prioritize and so much more. The last 4-5 years has been tough on me and many ways which I won’t go into detail. Listening to Singer I am much better now in a lot of ways, I am able to deal with things much much better. LikeI said the fact that you recognize were you have been and how you have felt is everything, now start the “new you” life is so short and someday you will say “what happened to all my time I had”. Don’t waste what you have ! ♥️🌧️☀️
@@titaniummaster1532so true he is so straight to the point and I know what he's saying is true because I've lived it and I can't deny any of it. This one is soo good, it's one of the deepest, yet easiest to digest.
I have a question to unterstand. Maybe there is someone who can help me? Mostlx Mickey says that we should relax and release, simply watch what is happening. We have no control over the world and cannot (because of our minimal experience) know what is right and what is wrong. We should not suppress anything. Now he explains that we should use our will to decide where our attention/awareness/consciousness goes. But it isn't it a kind of wanting to control which experiences we wanna have? And isn't there the danger that we want to avoid some things we want not to see? Isn't this a kind of suppression? Thank you for helping me understand his words!
That's a great question. It may be helpful to think of the 2 aspects of the mind. There's the intelligent mind and the personal mind. The intelligent mind is the aspect of the mind that solves math problems, learns new languages, etc. We use our will to put our attention/awareness/consciousness on the intelligent mind. The second aspect of the mind is the personal mind. These are the thoughts that are automatically generated by our mind. We are not willfully generating these thoughts. They are based on all the things we've held onto from our past. The thoughts of the personal mind are the ones Mickey says to not give our attention/awareness/consciousness. Don't suppress them, but don't follow them. So, we're not cherry-picking which thoughts we want to follow. We are only following those thoughts that we willfully generated with our intelligent mind. Hope this helps!
The core of agitation is stored emotional distress in the body. This is the center of body identification and we have generally turned to intellect to sort this out, something it cannot do. So the mind goes around in ruminative circles, providing perhaps temporary relief from intense feeling, but ultimately only compounding it. Choosing to stay centered in consciousness often means being with extreme, somatically-felt discomfort. It can be arduous. It is useful to know that the body will want to go through its culturally-suppressed natural discharge processes of yawning, shaking, laughing and crying. Letting this flow can be a great aid in release. Let the body do its natural thing.
