My Newest Routine: • Winter Routine| Natura...
All of the pictures in this video are with me and my own hair. In none of the pictures do I have extensions or weaves. I never took any hair growth supplements or serums or anything like that. Just tried to take care of my hair as much as possible :) Hope that you guys enjoy!! Thank you so much for watching.
Products I use now and during my transition: Organix Shampoo, Aussie Moist Conditioner (as a leave-in and a detangler), sometimes Shea Moistures Curl Enhancing Smoothie on top of the Aussie Moist. I use my hands to detangle first and then the Denman second. I trim my hair every 3/4 months.
Tips for hair growth:
DO NOT USE HEAT!! IT IS THE ENEMY! lol
Be extremely gentle with your hair when detangling and when handling
Keep your hair moisturized at all times to prevent breakage from dryness
Keep your ends healthy, if they seem to be dry, split, or preventing growth, it may be time for a cut
Eat a well-balanced diet and exercise to facilitate healthy hair growth and a healthy body overall
And I meant that I "dyed" it black. But I guess "died" works also! lol

It truly amazes me (in a great way) by how positive everyone is and how much love their is in the natural hair community. Thank you all again for watching my video and for leaving your lovely comments! I read them all and I am so surprised/glad that I have inspired so many of you! Much love to you all!!
***** try wild growth
***** Hi! I didn't use anything to grow my hair (I didn't use wild growth). I just grew my hair the natural way and took care of it.
***** Thank you so much!! I am 20 years old.
your hair is beautiful, so are you, I'm also on a natural hair journey from heat and chemical damage. Hope to have long a beautiful hair like you someday. GOALS lol
what's your curl pattern?
I swear, straight hair has a way of aging people, To me you look younger in more resent pics than you did in your 8th grade pics. Your great inspiration for brown girls wanting long natural hair
lol. That's funny! And thank you! Back when first big chopped, I lived on TH-cam looking at videos like this. So I wanted to make a video to help other people out, like many TH-camrs did for me!
I think the coolest part of this was seeing how beautiful she was regardless of her texture or length throughout:)
Thank you very much! That was very sweet! :)
oh course girl!:)
your hair just grows.....extremely fast..
I've been showing my friend natural hair journey videos all day and at the end of every journey the women truly look more beautiful.
+kingplutoxiao1 :))
Your journey was one of the ones she loved the most :)
Aww thanks! That makes me happy :)) I'm glad that she loved it!
Because they feel more beautiful. 👀
Hey guys! I just wanted to say thank you for all of your nice comments! It really means a lot and I am glad that this video was able to help at least one person. I tried replying to everyone's individual comments but TH-cam wouldn't allow me to reply to a lot of them! But I did see all of the comments and Thank You! :)
How did you clip your ends with out heat ?
reply hun need your tips!
I have a video about how I trim my hair without heat on my channel.
What products you put in your hair when you was younger cause it grew like crazyyyy!!!!
Thank you for posting... looking at your videos gives me so much inspiration for my own natural hair journey. I am 1yr and 1month natural and I'm seeing the results of a good healthy hair routine and patience take form. My hair was confused for a bit there because I was trying so many different products and not really giving one hair line the time it needed to see if it worked best for my hair. I now work with one line at a time and give it a few weeks and see if my hair agrees with it. I'll be getting my hair straighten for the first time in months, and I am excited to see the length of my hair when its straighten in comparison to my natural curls. Pardon the long monologue... btw your hair is beautiful!
PROTECT YOUR ENDS AND YOUR HAIR WILL GROW LONGH.
Your diet also plays a large role in the growth of your hair. I cut out the little fast food I ate, and Within 3 months my hair managed to grow almost four inches. Correlation doesn't equal causation, but since I've implemented minor changes, both my hair and nails grow ridiculously fast. I've always had a healthy diet, but of course I had my cheat days. Once the cheat days were gone, boom...my hair flourished. I have had zero heat on my natural hair, but looking from what's grown over the last few months, there is a big noticeable difference in the recent growth, compared to my earlier growth. Shiner, softer, etc. My 4 year natural anniversary will be on August 15th!
usaidwatQUESTIONMARK Your hair wasn't growing faster, it was breaking off less often.
diet does play a huge part! i stopped drinking soda and fast food and my hair had grown over 2 inches in june
usaidwatQUESTIONMARK me too!!! I started drinking water, drinking smoothies and eating veg and fruit and my hair has grown loads! My nails too!
I have 2b/c hair, and I thought my shrinkage was crazy! That's so awesome! You Afro-textured girls have AMAZING volume!!!!!! Holy crap!!! Yalls have butt length hair that curls to your bra strap!
Love the progress! 4 years seems like everyone's point where they have mastered their hair. I can't wait!
Just remember to take care for our hair! I wish I came to TH-cam for advice when I first started my journey! I've been natural for 6 years, (since 2008) and My hair is only arm pit length. It took 2 years to get to shoulder length and I thought it stopped growing but in reality it was just breaking off just as much.
Last year, I revised my hair routine and grew to armpit length. I know I'm a few years behind, but I will get to Mid back length eventually!! I'm just thankful It didn't take me 10 years to learn how to take care of my hair. lol
RainyJenks lol. Thank you and thanks for watching!!!
I just texted my daughter your video to get inspired to keep her hair up while in college...and shockingly she told me she went to high school with you!!! lol. That is so cool!! Thank you for sharing and your hair is gorgeous! !!
I really loved watching your selfie game get stronger throughout the video
Icesis Williams Hahahah!!! Gee thank you!! lol
2000s were some crazy years XD
Your hair grows back super fast! I've been natural for six months and my hair probably won't be shoulder length again for a long, long, long time lol
THANK YOU! I'LL TRY THIS :)
Everyone's hair grows at a completely different pace. Don't worry about how fast/slow its growing. The main thing to focus on is the HEALTH of it! 😊 As long as you're moisturizing like Angie^ mentioned, staying away from direct heat, and being gentle with your hair, with patience, you'll see growth AND health!! ☺️
Moral of the story....stop being lazy and grow our own natural, beautiful hair. You are gorgeous!! Thanks for the inspiration to so many! Bless you.
Hahaha. Thank you! ❤️
Excally; )
You have my curl pattern !!!!! Finally I recognise my curl pattern on someone! Your hair is my goaaaaal
Your hair is literally goals
Lol Thanks!!
your hair is so beautiful! btw im mixed and it does not mean I just have long hair. i am struggling to get past mbl. Ive seen non mixed people with LONG beautiful hair
Thank you!
Your hair grows so fast omg I love how beautiful the curls are! And now your hair is so long. This was definitely worth it!!
your hair grows pretty fast ;)
This video should be shown to every 11-12 year old girl and their mother. It’s so easy to miss the gradual damage that happens to teens’ natural hair when they first start caring for their own hair. But this video clearly illustrates what kind of damage can happen when teens experiment without proper care/knowledge of what their hair needs.
WOAH!!!!!!! Your hair grows fast! For most people it takes a 4 years to get to wasit lenght but, by only 3 years you were at hip length!! WOOOOOOOOW is all I can say
lol :)
you have inspired me! i will ask my mom if i can grow out my relaxer. it takes alot of responsibility but it will worth it in the end :)
*Am I the only one to pause at each picture to admire this beauty?*
Your hair is so gorgeous and grows so quick!😮😍😍😍😍
I love this whole natural hair journey. For so many years most African women didn't think they could have hair shoulder length or waist length because we didn't know a thing about our hair. And to see so many woman on TH-cam showing that it can be done is great. I don't need wigs or weave to have long hair. God gave us just what we needed. Thanks for the video.
Your hair is BEAUTIFUL. You never needed to relax it --
but I'm sure you know that now.
I Bethany I I guess everybody goes through that because they feel since everyone else is doing it to get their hair straight they have to do it to. In 2002 I realized the relaxers didn't make a difference in my hair when straightening it but that in its natural state my curly hair was instead wavy so I stopped and now it's 2017 and I'm transitioning from heat damaged hair back to its curly state lol
You've helped me transition, and it' has been 4 years now!!! My hair went from my neck to my waist! Thank you so much! Every year I watch this video to see how far I've come. Thank you!
How did you get your hair to grow so fast? I've been natural for almost 3 years and my hair is only a little past my shoulders..
Same :(
+Rose Lavi do you think it's also to do with her hair type?
+Mia Bolton her genetics have a role in it too
Same. I've been natural since like 6 the grade. I now have graduated from college and my hair is only to my collarbone. I will admit in high school I flat ironed a lot so I can understand no growth then, but since entering college I've done nothing but take care of my hair. Idk why it won't grow longer and I know it can.....trying some new products now from her videos and I did a little mini chop. My hair feels and look healthier....just hope it grows in the next couple years X)
This is SO encouraging 💕 Thank you 😊 subscribed!
Yaye!! Thank you!!
That's crazy how your hair transitioned to how it look before to the texture it's at now. Your curly hair is bomb
Your hair went through some massive growth spurts! loll
hahaha.. it does appear that way. lol
@@Jewellianna 😂
Something tells me your hair just naturally grows fast. My hair has been shoulder length for about 4 years but it's healthy so I don't know why my growth is so stagnant. You hair is gorgeous, I only wish my hair could be that beautiful
My gawd yasssss hunty... lol your hair is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
lol. Thannnkkk youuu!!
I have to say, aside from you beautiful hair growth, you grew even more beautiful yourself. Those pics showed you blossoming. Your so pretty and have huge amounts of natural beauty....
Awww... That is so sweet! thank you so much! :)
My hair does not grow that fast. It took me years it's to get it from my shoulders to my armpits... :-/
your hair will keep growing no matter what, but your hair maybe breaks just as much as it grows and that's why you feel like it's not growing. Be more gentle with your hair. Good luckk!!!
I just did my big chop in June, and my hair has already grown almost 2 inches. I'm so excited for the future of my hair! Thanks for the inspiration!!
I love this.. thanks for sharing!
Remember when gave ppl who where transitiong a tip about their inspiration? Well my inspiration is YOU!
Love!
Safira Tavares Fortes Aww thank you!!
what does your hair grow 3 inches per month?!? sheesh! that is some fast growth forreal
lol. No it grows a little more than 6 inches per year. I just retained all of my length.
JeweJewe Bee So you never cut your ends????
Yes, I cut my ends about 4 times a year.
JeweJewe Bee
4 times a year. Do you straighten it each time?
"Soul Scissors", I want to ask my mom about that! lol But yes! I believe the only person that knows your hair best is you! I've had people tell me that I needed a little relaxer in order for my hair to grow, that I don't need conditioner in my hair when I comb it, that heat training is healthy for hair. So many things that I KNOW not to be true for MY hair! You always have time to "save" your hair. lol My mom went natural at 41 and has the most beautiful and healthy curls I've EVER seen!!
been natural my whole damn life. I can't get my hair to grow past the nape of my neck :{
It's not possible for all.
Been natural for over 10 years and it's just to my collarbone -________- started over 5 years ago....my hair is thicker and healthier but not growing nearly as fast as hers.... I even did a mini chop 4-5 months ago.
I'm a lazy hair kind of gal, and I'll tell you one thing. Heat was what did my hair in. Every time. I transitioned from Nov 2016 until Aug 2017, and have been natural a little over a year. I have an 18 month old daughter, so my hair had its own setbacks after giving birth, but since having her, my hair is almost half way to bra strap. My hair has never been that long that I can remember seeing. I'm fully natural, this week makes one month of no heat, I shampoo and deep condition weekly, protein treatments once a month, I use rice water rinses and daily with my leave in conditioner in a spray bottle, I oil my scalp every other day and make sure to constantly spray my hair while it's in a protective style. No combs, or brushes, only finger detangling, and I try to make sure my hair is never dry. It has been a long road, but it's definitely helped my hair tremendously. I do have a short part in the middle back and on the top front do to how bad the shedding was. But the regrowth is very thick and my hair has been growing at a rate of 1/2 an inch per month. I also hit the gym or find other ways to de-stress because I've seen first hand how bad that impedes growth. I hope this helps!
I'm a year and a half natural and I was sitting here with my mouth open for 7 minutes. So amazed by how fast your hair grew! Also, you're stunning! :D
Ha! My mouth was open too. :)
haha mingmei1010 Helene W Thank you so much!! :)
Can you show us a wash & go routine?
Yes! Definitely.
I don't know why would anyone give you a thumbs down on your hair growth journey, jealousy maybe, smh. Congrats to you
MAJOR GLOW-UP 💕😊
One of my fav natural hair journeys!!! Hands down, this video played a major role in my decision to to big chop and start over. Love your channel
That makes me so happy!! Thank you so much!!!❤️❤️
this vídeo give me hope
This gave me motivation thank you!!!...Ive been natural for about 6 years and im experiencing heat damage now..... this video gave me life...true hope for my hair....
your grew so fast.
if she keeps taking care of it, it's gonna be so big and beautiful. she's going to look like a curly-headed goddess. my goal is to get here as well. when i was young, i hated big hair. now the bigger the better for me.
lol. Thanks! I also hated my big hair because it drew so much attention to me. And even still, I get kind of self-conscious whenever I walk around and almost everyone is staring at me (or making comments) because of my HUGE hair. lol But I am slowly getting used to it and have started to appreciate it.
New Subbie!!! your hair is so beautiful!!! congrats on your journey =)
Thanks so much! I appreciate it!
I start my natural hair adventure since february 2018 when i big chop. My last relaxer was on november 2016. I still have heat damaged hair in my front, i can't trim them off all. But i'm struggling everyday with short hair, i never had short hair in my life. So your video really helps me to cultivate patience. To transition i had to flat iron them every month but i don't do that anymore since february. I'm really confident that they will grow long and healthy like yours. Thanks a lot Jewejewebee !!!
Frahynah
yes, can you make a video of what techniques you did and what products you used to grow your hair please? My hair is almost bra strap length and im trying to grow it to waist length asap b/c graduation is right around the corner and i want my hair longer and healthy so i could dye it :)
It's like she said, patience is key. There is no quick fix.
Yes definitely!
iBarkBite honestly at times i have no patience but tips do help in one way or another
JeweJewe Bee and thanks :]
Yeah, I've just started my transition also so I can get you on that part lol EppsOnDeck
You make me proud to be Black (I'm totally assuming you are of African descent). And not just because you have beautiful hair; moreso because you accept, love and have confidence in your own beauty. I really wish we all follow your lead. Black women are so so beautiful. The most beautiful and unique eye shapes, naturally curly lashes, amazing hair and the ability to do the most intricate and beautiful styles. Not to mention the amazing diversity in skin color. I hope and pray that we all begin to see and love the innate and natural beauty of Black women and Black people.
You're comment is so awesome! I appreciate it so much! Black women, as well as women from ALL races, are beautiful!! I am so thankful that this natural movement helped woman with curly/ kinky hair to embrace our natural hair that was once shunned! I appreciate your positivity and kind words!! 😊😆
this video give me hope for my natural hair . 😢😜😜😜
Your hair grows extremely fast I know some people who's natural hair is neck length and has been that way for years.
Shouldn't this be 5 years of natural hair since u transitioned for a year then cut off the relax hair?
Nice curl pattern btw
Transitioning doesn't count as natural
+Yv A I have no idea what you're saying
Ebony Durr sorry must've been doing two things at once.
My question was, why don't the transitioning count?
I mean, that's the beginning of her natural hair journey, plus, she didn't cut off that new growth of hair.
+Yv A because while she was transitioning she's not technically natural she was in a phase where she was partially natural and partly relaxed and she still had to cut off more
The glow up is real😩💗
How the hell did u have a relaxer if ur hair was curly
an amazing thing happens when you WET relaxed hair, it gets wavy or in some instances, curly. that's why they tell you not to wet your hair when you get it relaxed.
You'll be 9 years natural on my birthday! I'm happy for you and your hair journey
Hey I absolutely love your journey, fully inspired by you :) I have a question what's your nationality are you mixed?
Danie Breezy I am American. And yes, I am mixed.
JeweJewe Bee What are you mixed with? I'm mixed too.
Black and Hispanic ☺️
JeweJewe Bee Which parent is Black and which one is Hispanic?
Don't be scared. The great part is that hair grows back and if you take good care of your hair and avoid heat after going natural, your hair will be in it's most healthy and thriving state!!
You don't have to be mixed for your hair to grow long or at a certain pace
Awesome video journey. I've decided to go natural October 2013. And i can't wait. I've completely changed my entire hair routine to become fully natural with baby steps weekly. I've noticed changes. Patience is key, your right!
Awesome!! Thanks for watching!!
I'm 13 and trying out this natural thing but I'm kinda fuzzy on the facts. My hair is at the top of my shoulders and I wish my hair could grow as long as yours. My hair isn't curly and wish I had some. My hair is like 4b/4c. Does hair type effect how fast it grows😕 I want to do a twist out but I probably can't pull it off
Yes it does
no hairtype does not decide on how fast your hair grows. it is genetics and how you care for your hair. Like I know some girls that have loosely curled hair that have been natural or 3 years and their hair grows slowly and just hitting shoulder length. While I know naturals with kinky hair that have been natural for a year and half and their hair is at APL already. look up youtubers with similar hair to yours. I would suggest Naptural85, mahoganyknots, Alicia James, etc. And type 4's actually hold twist longer and the style last longer on them so your hair type actually pulls them off very wel. As for people like me with type 3 natural hair I have to do flat twists outs in order for my hair to cooperate. but you can do regular twists and it works out for you. just try not to overmanipulate your hair (i.e. flatironing, blow dying too much, etc) and protective style for length retention. Remember to moisturize on the outised and inside(drink water).
cutienaiya most natrual with long hair have silky hair. Women like me have hard dry hair that refuses to grow. I accept my fate
Aww... thank you so much for that! I'm so honored!! I'm glad that it could've helped you! Good luck on your journey!
I did my big chop today!!!
YAYEEEEE!!!! Awesome!! You rock! :)
Wow, I can't wait to get to 4 years natural, I just started last week!!!
You are so cute!!
Aww thanks you!! lol
you have beautiful hair that grows fast I'm not sure if most people would see that much growth in such a short period of time
This doesn't happen in real life -____-
Haha..so I guess my life is in... "fake" life. lol
Lol no you know what I mean. You're mad lucky :/
livelaughlisten14 lol :)
I've been transitioning for almost 7 months and I still don't feel the slightest urge to relax again . I'm very excited :D
That's awesome!! I'm glad that you are excited about your hair journey!! :)
Can you please shut down these celebrities and their wigs and weaves.. Respect babe..
FINALLY someone with my hair type and this is almost exactly my story right down to the unplanned self given big chop with rusty scissors lol she gives me so much hope that my hair will get back to its length soon. Definitely subscribing!!!
hahaha... I don't feel alone anymore. lol Thanks for watching and subscribing!
So you have been natural for almost 6 years?
no
JeweJewe Bee You said you went natural in 2008, so that would make you natural for 6 years in July
john smith Danielle Monaá I consider the start of me being natural as when I big chopped; this is seen from the way that I dated the pictures (my big chop was in 2009/ "4 Years"). I think that many others consider it this way also, seeing as the way people who are transitioning and still have relaxed ends get attacked when they say that they are natural. That's just the way that I do it though, you guys can definitely do it as when you last relaxed, for your own hair journey!!! :)
JeweJewe Bee didn't mean for you to feel attacked, but I get what you are saying about people not considering you natural until all the relaxed ends are gone.
Girl I am loving your hair. One of the best journeys I've seen thus far. Thanks for sharing.
Aww.. thank you so much!! So nice!
@jewejewebee I'm struggling with hair damage bc I straighten my hair a lot , do you are anyone have advice how to grow it out at your length , because my hair is very short and I really want to try and grow it long ? Do you think it's possible ?
Yes it's possible you just need to first ; drop the heat tools second; be committed to doing this and third; find hear free hairstyles such as braid outs and twist outs ( can be found on TH-cam) to help protect your hair while jt grow. Also protective styling would help to and always moisture your hair and try to deep condition and use sulfate free shampoo Ik you didn't ask for all this and I hope I could help ( I had relaxed hair )
+Morgan Bradley heat not hear and it grows
+Morgan Bradley TYYY IM TAKING THIS TO HEART
+Morgan Bradley no this will help !! I really want my hair to grow her length and if this is the way I'm all for it tysm ❤️
+Mercia Matthew no problem I'm glad I could help !
Wow. You are simply stunning! And your hair journey is so encouraging. I am not sure if I am transitioning, or just haven't had a relaxer in a while. lol. But, seeing your beautiful video reminds me of how gorgeous natural hair can be. Thanks for sharing!
Awww. you're extremely nice! Thanks so much for your kind words and thank YOU for watching my video!!
I didn't read all of the posts so I may have missed if someone already asked this question, but are you fully black? Your hair grew as if you have something else going on lol. It is beautiful and I hope I can have the same results in a couple years. I'm currently 2 years natural and my hair reaches about 4 inches from my nips ( sorry to be so blunt). I still have to big chop though, so about 2 inches of that have yet to come off. Any how, are you fully black honestly?
Cool video! I like tht u showed lots of pics all the way thru. I grew my hair out after a big chop and some ppl just don't understand the many growth stages ur hair goes thru. They think the hair just magically appeared.
so i guess 4C is 'bad hair' then? beauty comes in different forms brethren, the mentality of our hair being 'bad hair' is something the white men used to get black people to walk with their chins down. our ancestors went through a lot of physical and mental bullying. we are physically free today but we have to set our minds free. why should our hair be deemed bad, our dark skin deemed not pretty, our culture(music, dance, dressing, behavior etc) deemed odd. cant things just be unique, not wrong?
Okay this had inspired me even more. I want to have a 3 year hair journey and my hair is almost the same as your but the curl is a little more loose. You've given me motivation to want to continue to try and grow my hair out. Anyone who says that isn't your real hair obviously doesn't know anything about mix girls hair. Thank you for the video :)
OMG!!!! God I wish I had your curl pattern! I've been natural all my life, but unfortunately I've had some issues here and there. I recently had a big chop so I'm trying to do better by my hair and paying A LOT more attention to my ends so it can be this FABULOUS one day! This has given me some hope.
Yes! Paying attention to the ends is one of the best things that you can do! Thank you and thanks for watching!!
So there is hope 😄 I've been natural for about 5 months and have seen a big difference in health but not too much in length. Currently my hair, all shrunk up is about collarbone length. Can't wait for it to be as long as yours 😍
Wow! What a transformation! Thank you for sharing your journey....you look beautiful and your hair looks healthy & happy!
you are my biggest hair crush. seriously watching your hair journey reassures me that hair will grow back!!! :)
One of the best hair journey's I've seen so far!
Amazing hair growth. It seems that leaving your hair alone to grow is the best thing.
I don't care what anyone says this girls hair is real & you can tell it is. Every time it see this Video it motivates me even more.
Words from a wise woman!! Thank you so much! And thanks for watching!
Watching this is really motivating! I am 10 months natural. I did big chop in Mar 2013 one month post relaxer. I'm being patient! Your hair is beautiful!
YAYE!! I'm so proud of you!! And thank you very much!! Just keep being patient and you will soon be rewarded!!
Your hair grew so fast. It will take some people 3-5 years to get their hair length like that when you were going natural for 1 year. By the way you have beautiful hair
oh my gosh. You're SO SO SO SO beautiful. I am going natural since June and i have a sew-in with some hair left out to protect my hair and it seems like it is taking forever but your video just reminds me it is worth the wait!
I just did the big chop yesterday after having so much damage hair. I hate my haircut, but watching this video encourages me to take care of it so I won't have to cut it again.
Awww I'm glad it helped! :)
I just big chopped two weeks ago and this helped so much. Recently I've been getting the obvious comments from my parents (I don't like it, you look like a boy, waste of money, you're gonna regret it, if you don't take care of it I'll make you relax it again), smh, so it's made me feel down at times. This video made me feel so much better about this journey. Thx and much love.
I'm so glad it did! Thank you for watching and I'm happy that it was able to help you!
