This tutorial is definitely beginners friendly. Thanks for sharing! I will now try to make an adjustable bonnet. Please share more beginners friendly tutorials.
Hello, love your work Can you please tell me the name of the black "spring" you put to hold the elastic..... i know we can find them on track pants and sweaters, but i want to look for it to buy.
Satin is the weaving of the material using a fabric. I don’t know what the satin I use is made of exactly since where I buy it its only labeled as ‘satin’. I’d suggest any satin that is affordable, think and has a good sheen on one of its sides.
Hi. It’s an elastic string. Unfortunately when I buy it there’s no branding on it so I can’t give you the exact term used for it. They do come in various ways with size and colour. If you find a fabric store I’m positive you’ll find a variety of these elastic strings.
I’ve switched actually to a flat elastic as this is better to avoid headaches. I shop by eye so unfortunately I don’t know the technical terms to the different elastics.
I’m glad it was helpful. I buy it at my local fabric store called Moosa’s fabrics. I’ve been looking for them online but the websites I find them on are all international so I’m not trusting that.
Oooh I definitely cannot say. I would suggest you look into reviews from professional seamstresses here on TH-cam. I’m a DIYer 😂 so I haven’t gotten to that level.
Azania tresses ok I was just wondering how it works on reversible bonnets for example if I make a pink and purple one and if I use purple thread won’t the purple thread show on the pink side when it’s flipped?
Hi Jayla Currently I’m closed for shop but planning on coming back soon. You can follow me on Instagram @accessorized_byazania to know when I start selling again 💕
No I don’t think so. You can get natural silk or a blend but satin is a blend of material. The purposes of hair and skin they both provide the same benefits.

Hello thanks for the tutorial! Where do u purchase ur fabric?
Thank you for watching. I purchase fabric from Moosas fabric in Oriental plaza. You can find them on IG and FB
Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure 😊
Thanks for sharing this video. Please what kind of satin fabric did you use.

Hey this video is amazing!!! does the cord have to be 23 inches for all bonnet sizes?
😊 thank you. You can adjust it to your liking. I just saw that the length would work for all head sizes as it is long enough to be adjusted.
Do you have to use those corded stoppers or you just prefer to use them?
I’ve actually started using flat thin elastic bands because they lay flat against the head.
The corded string was what was available to me at the time
@@Azaniatresses Thank you 💕
Hii.. What type of silk have u used in this video ?? Pls answer
It’s normal silk. They don’t have it named where I buy it. I’d say buy one that feels close to silk texture and is soft to the touch.
Nicee
You are beautiful!!! ♥️ Thaks
☺️ thank you
El video está bien. Creo que el resultado da un poco la impresión de que el tamaño es muy justo,🤔( probar una modelo de cabeza más pequeña) 🤗
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
YOU DID THAT...
Pls wats the name of that black thing you fixed on the elastic
It’s called a cord stopper. Amazon sells them.
Love them , where do you get your fabric from ?
Thank you. There is a shop in Oriental plaza one Fordsburg called Moosa’s Fabric.
What type of string do you use ?

Is it dull face satin?
It’s normal satin that has the wrong side dull and the right side shiny.
thank you!
hello where did you buy drawstring and cord stopper please ?
In South Africa the fabric store I go to called Moosa’s fabric sells them. You can try online but they tend to be expensive there.
small is for kids or can ut ve worn by adult women?
It can but if the hair is plaited down. It’ll fit anybody as long as the volume of hair is small.
@@Azaniatresses thank you 🤍
I was trying to catch how exactly you folded the material but I kinda got lost
I fold it 3 times to get 2 pieces
Azania tresses thank you so much!!
Awesome ✂️🧵
Where can I find those black stuffs i in Nigeria
You can try a fabric store. They normally carry all things related to sewing.
Hey. What type of elastic are you using. Does it say Hat Elastic? Is it round / flat / braided etc?
I’ve switched actually to a flat elastic as this is better to avoid headaches. I shop by eye so unfortunately I don’t know the technical terms to the different elastics.
The elastic used in the video is round
Hey mam thank u soo much for video can i know the black thing which u have use for adjusting the bonnet what is the name of that button?
It’s only a pleasure 🙏🏽. It is called a cord stopper
This is so helpful, where do you buy cord stoppers

I love your video!
I wanted to start sewing. Which sewing machine would you recommend I buy?
Oooh I definitely cannot say. I would suggest you look into reviews from professional seamstresses here on TH-cam.
I’m a DIYer 😂 so I haven’t gotten to that level.
@@Azaniatresses thank you☺

Had to pull up google 😊. Gracias 🙏🏽
GENIAL!!!!
What size is the circle... 😳
9 inch radius
Do you use invisible thread on these bonnets?
Lol no. I use threading that matches the colour of the material so it can blend into it and look invisible
Azania tresses ok I was just wondering how it works on reversible bonnets for example if I make a pink and purple one and if I use purple thread won’t the purple thread show on the pink side when it’s flipped?
@@jamiahwhite4383 do your top thread in the coordinating color and your bobbin in the other. That way it will match and won’t be seen.
Please how much is the mini sewing machine
The prices vary. I bought mine a few years ago so the price definitely changed. Try googling it to determine the lowest price you can get it at.
What is the seam allowance that you used please??
A half inch at the perimeter and a space enough for your string when making the conduit.
please tell me you still make these Bc I’m probably goin to order a large or medium
Hi Jayla
Currently I’m closed for shop but planning on coming back soon.

Where do you get your fabric
At a fabric store in Oriental plaza called Moosa’s fabrics.
Available on Instagram and Facebook
You are going to fast how did you make that fold 2 get 2 pieces your bonnet are beautiful
I’d suggest you change the speed of the video.
I fold the fabric only 3 times before cutting to get 2 pieces.
Hope this helps
Thank you I learned how to fold them
Hey. Where do you stock your satin?
Moosa's fabric at Oriental plaza. You can try Troy Street in town as well.
Azania tresses thank you 😊
Hi. What type of satin do you use for your bonnets?
It’s stretch satin
Can yu purchase these?
Mitzyy
I’m in South African and sell them but I’m sure you can find bonnets selling international on many websites.
Hi there How much yards was the entire piece of material you used?
It’s an 18’ diameter but I wouldn’t be able to tell you in yards
Azania tresses thank you anyway!
you can use 1 yard to make bonnets of 18" diameter up to about 26"
Is satin and silk the same king of fabric ?
No I don’t think so. You can get natural silk or a blend but satin is a blend of material. The purposes of hair and skin they both provide the same benefits.
Beautiful r u still selling if yes I want to buy
Thank you. Yes I am still selling. Follow me on IG @accessorized_byazania
I rather support you than make it😂
😂 check out @accessorized_byazania if you’d like to order 😉
You cut that to small it should be full on ur head not skimpy
I prefer it the way I’ve made it. That’s what’s great about DIY’s, you get to adapt it to your desires.
What kind of stitch did you use??
A straight stitch
What thread do you use?
I don’t know the type. It’s just normal thread.
