Not only is this a great tutorial, it's also a great beginner lesson! It teaches so many little things that you can use in so many other projects, but I can't wait to make it!
THANK YOU!! I’ve bought 5 different bonnets over the last 3 years and they either don’t fit correctly or fall off through the night. This tutorial was SO easy to follow and exactly what I was looking for in a bonnet! I love it
very well explained ... I watched so many tutorials but yours one is the most underadable , each step is well explained in audio with precise measurements & size . I'll make onw for myself .thkx❤
Love it! I’m going to try it with old silk and satin tops that I don’t wear anymore. I think I’ll piece them together and give it a try. Thanks for the inspo
Thank you for putting this tutorial out into the world. I am prepping to make a bonnet for my daughter for when I have to put her no heat curlers for her dance recital hair. Her hair is down to her waist. So the final length of the curlers from the middle of her scalp to the bottom of the back is 25” and on the sides 12”. Do you or anyone in this community have a recommendation how to cut out to accommodate all the curlers? Would it need to be more of an oval? I’d like the bonnet to kinda hold up the curlers to relieve the pressure on the scalp. Thank you!
I had stick-straight hair for about 45 years (as you can see in my profile picture), and have occasionally permed it because I like curls :-). A few years ago it started growing in curly! It's about 2c/3a (I'm still learning). It looks great first wash day (I have started following 'curly girl' method for caring for my curls), but second day it's kind of a mess. I did start using a satin pillow case, but would like to try a bonnet. I've considered buying one, but, I mean, I do love to sew.... I'm going to try to find some satin and make one instead ASAP :-)
Thank you so much for this tutorial❤❤I've tried it and people are loving it Just wanted to kindly ask about the curve at the back what is its purpose? Ive been asked but didn't know what to say?coz it seemed so big when people tried it on...please help and thank you once again
This tutorial is very easy and quick thank you so much, just one question, why the curve opening at the back? Wont the braids fall out ? Can you opt not to have the curve opening at the back?
Some sewing machines have a gather stitch but if yours doesn't, then you can use a loose stitch. For this, you do a straight stitch at the longest length on a sewing machine, it will be a loose stitch that you can gather.
Saw a girl with one in a class tonight. NOT meant to be worn in public. Someone please tell these girls and some women they are not meant to be worn in public.

Hi how much must I ask when I'm done Thankyou so much
My hair really dries out and gets frizzy in the morning, does wearing one help with it?
Yes, it does. It also keeps your hair from breaking.

Is to enable you to fix the band and it can be reduced
Wow Love it ❤, very helpful
But ma must i double the bonnet
No
This tutorial is very easy and quick thank you so much, just one question, why the curve opening at the back? Wont the braids fall out ? Can you opt not to have the curve opening at the back?
What out the opening you will not be able to tie it. Just open it a little.
❤️🌹❤️
Great work
Thanks
Can you teach us how to put it on?
Do you prefer rayon, or polyester satin?
Any will do
Just the band is hard for me
Is that one size fits all?
Yes
Why did you use 23 inches to cut the circle and how many yards did you use
23 is my head circumference and I used about half yard
Iiiop🤣
Thank you ma
You’re welcome 😊
Beautiful bonnet. Does it stay on all night?
Yes if you want
Ma’am please I don’t understand the loose stitch
Do you use a machine or what??
I mean gather stitch
Some sewing machines have a gather stitch but if yours doesn't, then you can use a loose stitch. For this, you do a straight stitch at the longest length on a sewing machine, it will be a loose stitch that you can gather.
How long os the length of the band pls?
measure the circumference of your head and multiply by 3 :)

Pls can i use dull face instead of satin
What I used was actually dull face, but satin is lighter and shiner
@@Nelo33 Thanks🙏
@@Nelo33 pls, I thought satin of two types: full face and mirrow face. Is full face different from satin?
@Chima Victoria I know of 4 types bridal satin, mirror face, dull face and the normal one
Can’t I sew it without doubling d fibre
You can
