thank you for the video, it really helps! if you have the time, meditations for other symptoms would be really usefull as well ; for me personally a racing heart and headaches can also get very overwhelming

You have such a soft, gentle voice which is very soothing in itself. I have recognised that there has been a huge deficit of any sort of gentleness, tenderness or kindness in my childhood & therefore my belief systems. The CFS is teaching me to welcome slow, gentle acceptance of my reality today. Lots of tears over the grief of my inner child & how she had to create a image of strength & pushing through to survive. No more! My mind tells me that I won't cope & lots of fear based catastrophic thinking but it is not true. The more I stop listening to my mind & welcome my experience with self compassion the easier it is becoming. I'm sure it will be a while yet before I feel recovered & I don't want to return to how my life was before CFS. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us. I wish everyone with CFS love & compassion. Believe in your body's ability to heal, it is naturally designed to do that but there is no quick fix xx

Thank you for this! Fatigue is rarely addressed as a symptom and I feel so lost with it! I’m a bit worried about pushing through fatigue as it always end up triggering PEM for me… but maybe I’m too early in my journey, idk. I still spend most of my day laying down, can’t really engage with life that much.

Thank you, again such a helpful meditation 🙏🍀😊
Most time, when I meditate, I fall asleep then, when I manage to let go of the thoughts... Also when I sit. I think it is because I am so tired because of the little sleep at night.
Do you also had this problem with always falling asleep whilst meditating and do you have any idea against that?

When I am really tired, yes and most of the time I will either go to sleep when it is the appropriate time, or I will try to do an activity that puts me into flow state and will give me some energy. Try some things out and keep what works!

Nice and helpful meditation but before even being halfway through I had had 2 advertisement breaks, had to stop the practice. Should be illegal

    Hi Mat
Just wondered if you’d come across people with long covid and particularly autonomic dysfunction using the Wim Hof breathing method to regulate the autonomic system? The breathing, cold exposure and meditation in his method apparently help. However some people state that the breathing techniques Wim Hof shows have made their symptoms worse, made them more anxious basically enhanced their sympathetic nervous system. Any thoughts?

Yes I've seen similar results, for some it works and others not so much. It enhances sympathetic nervous system for a short period, followed by a strong parasympathetic state afterwards. I think one's nervous system should be ready to handle the strong sympathetic activation and then the following parasympathetic activation can be helpfull. So experiment with it and feel if it is beneficial or not. With the cold water there is also a factor of "standing above the sensations" of the cold water, this can also help us not pay too much attention or accept the sensations of this condition.
