My favorite tip for the French r sound is:
    1. Pronounce k sound and notice your tongue touching the roof of your mouth.
    2. Place the root of your tongue close to the same spot your tongue was touching when you pronounced k, and put the tip of your tongue behind your front teeth.
    3. Pronounce h sound (strongly).
With this tip, I could finally make a somewhat decent r sound for the first time😭 I still need to practice a lot, though!

Turns out it’s really similar to the ‘ch’ sound in Welsh which I’ve spoken my whole life. Handy!

I am austrian and I feel like the R here sometimes is the same throut R sound as in french, so I dont struggle with most of the R sounds. but while doing the excercise sentences I noticed that the second r in regarde is somehow difficult for me. because I tend to swallow it (which usually happens in german when you have -rd). and if I try not to swallow it, I have struggle that the stress stays at the 1. syllable, and struggle that you still hear the d at the end as well

Hi, thanks for the video. I really enjoyed watching it.
But I think something is not correct.
When you say "super, regarder, de rien" .. I agree with you that the R hear sounds like gurgling water in the throat.
But when R follows a constant, [e.g. first R in "pRendre", R in tRès", R in FRançais] then it is like a soft Spanish G.
In German this rule is also the same.

Also in the exercise, there's an instruction to translate 'to watch' and 'fast', which I translated as 'regarder' and 'vite', respectively. I got both wrond. In another trial I translated 'fast' as 'rapide' and I still got it wrong. Please help me identify what I am getting wrong.

      Hi Nojeem,
Thank you for your comment. We have checked and there are no errors in the answers.
      Why is my answer wrong?
2/ The spelling is wrong: If you look at the How-to Guide on page 10, you get a lot of tips of how to fill in the forms and exercises without the system scoring you ‘wrong’. Please pay meticulous attention to the punctuation (or else, the system does not recognize the answer as ‘correct’). Examples of common mistakes: Je parle français -> Wrong because there is no period. je parle français. -> ‘je’ must be capitalized at the beginning of a sentence. Examples of correct spelling: Je parle français. Tu parles français? Once you get used to the proper punctuation and spelling as required by this app, you won’t have any issues any more with other exercises. If this all does not help, we will gladly look up the correct answer for you. For this, we need the exact identification of the training (‘lessons’, ‘vocab training’, or ‘podcasts’ + their number).
      Thanks.
