5 lines of defense, 1st line: Electric fence, 2nd line: minefield, 3rd line: another electric fence, 4th line: IR tracking turret (since theres no gun-turret available for ürivate homes, this one opens the kennel's doors Mr. Burns style), 5th line: Armored doors and bulletproof glass.
I am not sure how things are done in UK, but most mortis doors can be kicked in. The first thing you do is install larger door plate it and sink good 3" nails to door frame. Then next target is those clear windows, thieves tape them and bust them out in 10 seconds. You need to get windows with iron bar built in or thicker windows that you can not just bust it out. I would also add over head light for all entrance plus motion activated video surveillance high up in the air.

You could have the best door & windows you could buy on your home or a alarm , it won't stop people braking in , just remember there if the roof , the tiles come off very easily with no noise and then your in ! .. I will give you all the best tips , don't be a show off and a bragger showing every one what you have got , if they don't no what you have got , they don't no what there coming for ! .

You should get Impact doors and windows and a dog. About 4 month ago my grandma heard banging next door and she thought they were working next door until she finally looked over here gate and she saw a man wearing all black with a brick in his hand. He was trying to smash her neighbors door. She called the cops and the man got arrested and he could not break the door because it was a high impact door. he only cracked the first two or three layers but he didn't manage to break it after 45 minutes of hitting the door with a brick.

Fun fact alarms in a house actually don’t mean shit aswell as cameras u can ask any thief it doesn’t matter it won’t get rid of them. They usually spend less than 3 minutes in a house and the cops will be there in 10 or more it doesn’t mean anything

Nice video but I think this is a little bit helpful.. Just to make sure people should ask an advice from a home security alarms company on what security alarms best to install on their home.
That giant glass back door needs more lock. OK.
The very first thing he says is crap. Mortise locks do not protect against kick in attacks very well. To much of the actual door material is removed to create the pocket for the chassis. What they showed when he said that was a rim latch which is slightly stronger. Your best bet would be a Grade 1 deadbolt with an oversized steel strike plate with screws going through the frame into the 2x4 with a jimmy proof rim lock about 18 inches above that. How do I know? I'm a 20+ year locksmith.

Putting barbed wire hidden within your hedge is a good security method. Had two people get stuck and badly cut trying to 'jump' over my hedge and get close to my house.
Most people don't live in a Hollywood movie where "thugs" smash through windows and doors to attack the person living there. Your average criminal want's to get in and out quietly, so he won't break a window that would alert the residents. A chain alone is not much protection, but it's much harder to bypass quietly than a lock. If the intruders are willing to smash that window to gain entry then you have a problem that no lock or chain is going to fix.
so are serious car crashes(unless you're an incredibly bad driver, but that is equivalent to being stuck in a poor neighborhood in this case), but many places require you use a seat belt. A seat belt, door lock, or firearm only has to save your life once to make it pay off.
IMPORTANT. Put WOOD on your windows. Those locks are ridiculous.

Good point. And even the least competent individual can use a lock picking gun to bypass your locks in a few minutes, even a deadbolt. I just put on decent locks and have a good stock of loaded guns so that if someone breaks in while I am home, there will be a high chance he will leave in a black plastic bag.
Pictures/descriptions aren't enough, you need to write down the serial numbers from your electronics devices, this is the only thing most police will accept as certain proof of ownership.
use 3inc screws in all locks and have a baseball bat of chopper on show if people can see in .. timers set at odd difernt times for tv s and raidio to come on and off ..make sure ur doorbell cant be herd too .. all thieves normally knock first to see if anyones in or they could be in a next doors home

The thieves in the U.S. would get through most of these in minutes. Whats the point of a lock on a glass window or deadbolt on a flimsy door?

On this argument all security is pointless since a crim can just sledge hammer through the wall. The idea is to be more hassle than your neighbors and in England break-in noise will put off smart thieves.
Poor Man's Bullet "resistant" Armor!!
2 plywood sheets (each 1quarter inch) cut to fit inside of window,door,wall (1" fingerhold space on all sides). Coat 1 sheet with 2 sheets of fiberglass cloth & resin on BOTH SIDES. Glue a pencil diagonally at each corner, sandwich pencils between both plys using plenty of short screws 1" from edges ONLY! Face Non-fiberglass plywd outward. Secure entire assembly with 3 inch screws.
Use to line walls of interior room to create make-shift "safe-room".

Not 100% sure, but you should be fined for that. Probly every EU country would fine u for that. Even though UK is having Brexit atm.

If you have windows you're vulnerable. Locks on the doors are worthless if there's glass in the door.

Guy opens my gate and the dogs hear it. I open the door, the dogs go sit in front of this person.
Looking backward towards my car he didn't see the dogs coming.
The dogs sit about 4m behind this guy and "talk". It's a playful growl.

This will work far better
1 replace all glass doors with solid doors steel or wood with steel
2 Security gates on every door leading outside
3 Install a security door or gate in your passage blocking off the bedrooms from the rest if the house
4 Burgalar proof all Windows
5 Blinds on all windows
close all blinds every night so noone can see in
6 Get a small dog or Big dog that lives indoors they are great barkers will wake you up if anyone attempts to break in
7 Install movement motion detector lights outside.
8 Plant prickly plants on your border away from your house roses thorn bushes etc.
9 Put sensors on all opening doors and windows connect to your alarm if someone tries to open them it will trigger off your alarm
10 Put beams in your roof and inside your house also your garden connect to your alarm if the beam is broken your alarm will go off.
11 most important is your neighbour hood watch. Let them know when you are out so when your alarm goes off they know there is shit and will come running. Cops and securitycompanies tske their time

Those locks on the back door is completely useless if it has such a big glass panel like that because they would just break the glass. I've seen a few vids on TH-cam were that happens so they don't have to fuck with locks. Completely pointless!

I can build you a secure home or retrofit an existing one for you. But this advice is less than wishful thinking.

Breaking glass makes noise that smart thieves avoid, this is aimed for UK markets where houses are built up and the sound of a break in is obvious. The philosophy here is to be more hassle than your neighbors.
