blogs can be created for free on wordpress so I am not sure why someone would want to pay for your platform unless it does the new post everyday for you
Paying gives you control. When you promote your business, you want visitors to get your content, not someone else's advertising. A unique domain represents you and your business.
I'm a lifelong writer. Never published, yet. I'm writing chapters of my life, as I've been encouraged by many to do so. I'm interested in publishing chapters on my blog post as I create them. Would I loose anything, such as rights to my book to publish it later, if I share the chapters on my blog post first?

Is it a pain to transfer my domain to blue host or would I better off just starting over? Additionally, based on your experience, do you feel like it is more beneficial to focus on a blog or on a TH-cam channel? Timewise (while learning, I guess) I'm just not sure I could focus on both and produce quality content.

@@mevskitcheneats Highly recommend Dan Koe's work on that topic. I'm starting with a blog for the reasons he lays out in his videos, which is that it helps you organize ideas and build a sort of foundation of content to draw from.

I guess - you want to purchase a domain that someone already owns, and now they are trying to resell that to you at a higher price. There're people and companies who do this for domains that they think can be really popular. Can you check with a different domain name?
