I started blogging in October2023 took a course that I probably paid too much money for but I did learn to set everything up, pick a niche and do SEO research. But all of the tools Ahrefs etc. can be expensive not to mention all the SEO ranking and keyword optimization etc. can definitely take the fun out of writing. I still want my blog to be successful, but I realize it will not happen as quickly as that course promised. I'm still committed because I love writing and eventually I would like to add a TH-cam channel as well. So happy that I found your channel to support me in my journey!!! Love how detailed your content is especially for us newbies 🙂
I used to use Ahrefs also, but $100 a month was too much. I switched over to KeySearch and that only costs $17 a month. It’s not “fancy” looking as Ahrefs, but it has all the same info I was using at a fraction of the price. Good luck with your blog! It’s a slow moving machine, but once it starts growing, all the work will be worth it! 👏🏻💖

yes some tools are expensive, the best way is to start slowly with mostly free tools
true i also started in october 2023 but it seems blogging needs years to be successful.

Thank you for sharing this information. I am new to having a TH-cam Channel and becoming a Blogger. My channel is a travel channel and I launched it about two months ago and I am having a blast doing it. I only have about 20 followers 😄 but I don't expect anything to go quickly with any of this and that's fine. It is something I have always wanted to do and am finally doing now. I just made my new Instagram page and within the next week or so, I will finally start building my travel log. I have time to do these things now since I am now a disabled Veteran and am retired from working. So, my current status has now given me a lead-way to finally work on my travel channel etc..... I worked at a local radio station years ago and editing my own channel, reminds me of some of the work I did at the radio station. Anyway, thank you so much for this information. 🙂

Wix I found very slow. I would stick with wordpress because it's cheap. Plus the blogging function on WordPress is better than any other platform. You can actually search your posts.

Hey Annie, that sounds great - keep up the good work on Pinterest. So, I'm not really the Google ads expert but I would start with creating your adsense acocunt and then you can either let google add ads automatically or at specific locations. Hope this helps a little.

Good tips
I am having trouble getting approved by adsense. Any advice? Should I place adds myself?I sent them an email, telling them that my content is of value, and not thin . Still waiting on their feedback.
Did you quit your 9-5 before or after offering courses? I'm just curious if this is feasible by way of blogging alone. Thanks!
I quit after also offer digital products like downloads but not necessary courses. So income would come from ads, affiliate and digital downloads. But it really depends on the niche - for me since I'm in a tech niche it's harder to get enough traffic to make enough with ads alone but for example if you are into DIY, home decor, food, fashion people are making a fulltime income with ads + affiliate income alone. Hope that helps.

Hi, I have a question. I have been starting my own Pinterest Account because of your videos. I started with Pinterest about 6 months ago. After 3 weeks i had 600k impressions and it was going great.
Two weeks later, i went back down to 30k impressions.
About 2 months after that i had another spike to 500k and now its down to less than 20k impressions.
Why is that a thing? I post 5x a day, everyday. I tried lots of different things, but non of it is really working. Im in the fitness niche and my pins are good (in my opinion). I also look at trends, keywords, etc.. What can help me? I dont know, if my account is flagged or anything.
Any tipps? I would really appreciate a respons!
Pinterest will not help you in terms of traffic if your "niche" is about any subject matter where the average female is not interested . for example pc hardware will not work on Pinterest simply because the majority of the users are in fact females. on the other hand if your blog is about fashion or beauty or how to stay in shape, Pinterest will help you regarding traffic if you create the "correct" pins.

But pics hosted on Pintrest get picked up by search engines. I've looked for prepper stuff before and clicked on a pic and ended up on a Pinterest pin. If it takes me to a blog on how to make a rainwater catchment system, that's fine with me.

Hi Katie, New subscriber, as I was looking to start a blog from my business, which has done quite well from the Internet However, I am in business years before I hit the Internet Bella Vintage Notebook I design Journals and I want to use my Pinterest as my connecting base ?
