    Thank you very much. although we dont have the same printer, not even remotely. there were enough tips that i solved my issue and im back up and printing again. i just heated the nozzel 20 degrees hotter then required and pushed it through with a new chunk of filament after changing to a new nozzel.

    Hi Daniel, is there an arduino code that pull back the filament out at the end of the printing? it can easily solve the problem of filament being stuck in the extruder

      Yes, thanks for telling me, I am ordering one this month, video will be delayed because I need to do a few other mod videos first. Then I am going for the shootout with the original A8 😁

      @@Crosslink3D what do you know about pla in the freezer

    • @Crosslink3D

      Not yet tried it out but I read a lot of things that it's quite stable even in the freezer. Maybe worth some investigation. Any experiences from your end?

    Oh sir. This is almost answering my question.
    In my case (bowden), the extruder is separated from the hotend and the broken filament is inside the connecting teflon hosepipe.
    How can I solve this then?

      Just suscribed btw. I see the videos and seems i'll be visiting this channel quite often.

    I tried similar to this to clear the jam myself before seeing this and went back and tried again; however, it will not feed down. The nozzle is clean so that isn't why. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

    • @Crosslink3D
      @Crosslink3D  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i can only imagine that your nozzle and throat are somewhat having a gap and now you have a clog between the nozzle and the throat that blocks the filament.
      It might require you to disassemble the nozzle from the heating block and clean up the inner part. You will have to do this while the nozzle is heated up, otherwise it will probably not be possible to disassemble once there is filament floating between.

  • @619ninja2

    At first, I could fit an Allen wrench through the throat to clear the old filament which worked. But after, the throat couldn't fit it anymore. It also couldn't fit the 1.75 pla. Any ideas? It seems to be something stuck in the throat. If I could get some help thanks.

    Mine's a Creality ender 3 pro. It snapped at the bit where it feeds down the pipe. What do I do?

  • @3DJapan

    I'm sure this is great for direct drive hot ends, unfortunately I have bowden style.

  • @speedeespeedboi9527

    So i have to push it with new filament until all the old filament is out?

  • @danielh4309
    @danielh4309 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    It won’t work because the filament won’t even feed for some reason

    • @Crosslink3D
      @Crosslink3D  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Then you might have a clogged nozzle. most probably you will have to heat up the nozzle and then unscrew it from the heatblock to check whether there is a clog in the nozzle or in the throat. Be careful not to burn yourself doing that.

    What if its melted into the tube and stuck so far into the hot end that your machinist bf who weight lifts also cant remove it without buying a new hot end ? I changed no settings just whatever fillament i used was awful i have no idea
