  • RON9MM gets serious about cleaning brass casings on an industrial basis, and for some reason can't get Dead Or Alive's smash hit "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)" out of his head the whole time…
I paid for all this stuff. No product placement here! Having said that, if you like what you see, you can find it here:

I used a dry tumbler with all types of media for years. I switched over to wet tumbling with steel pins. It is by far better than dry tumbling, but with much more clean up. I now use both. Wet for dirty brass and dry for simple cleaning.

I know that dry tumbled brass isn’t as shiny. Apart from that, are there any performance differences between wet and dry brass?

Wet tumbling doesn’t produce the hazardous dust that you get with dry tumbling.

Have one, love it. A little Dawn with a couple ounces of white vinegar and they are done in less than two hours. I decap and size the pistol brass first. Seem to clean quicker

Thanks for the great video. How do you dispose of the waste water? Is it fine to put down the drain?

A very thorough demonstration of the whole process. Kudos. I'm one of 'those' reloaders who uses the dry tumbling method -walnut and corn cob - of cleaning my brass. This process DOES without question result in super clean and shinier brass. Too much messing about for my tastes, but your end result IS impressive.

If you leave the pins out, it's a much faster procedure. The pins aren't necessary. Try it.

Don't wet tumble your brass with primers still in them......You get ringers and it's a pain in the ass.......deprime first.....Joe R.

I just rinse them in the tumbler then use a dry tumbler to separate the pins. Got it down to a science now.

I just bought the tumbler. From what I read, it's not necessary to use the steel shot.

The steel pins will give them the jewelry quality shine. With out it, they will be clean but dull finished. The pins will also polish the insides and primer pocket which is admittedly, just cosmetic.
