You won't believe what you're hearing when you hear the original... Brian Banks and Anthony Marinelli sampled the string sounds with the Synclavier II with, wait for it... three mosquitoes 🦟 in a jar! Multitracked over 16 tracks.

I loved that part when she was teaching how to drive; "A green light is *GO* and red light means *STOP.* What's the yellow light mean?" He replied, *"GO FASTER!"*

That movie is the most awesome science fiction movie ever made and John Carpenter's best film to date. The ending of that film still makes me cry to this day. Good job replicating the music sir.

Thank you. I have fond memories of that film since my Dad took me took our family to the theater to see it when it came out. I was a kid but I remember. I did this mostly cause of him. He loves this piece and I do too. I still watch the film to this day. One of my favorites.

@@backlashx13 I am sure you saw the Starman TV series as well. I never missed an episode and I was so mad when they cancelled it. I remember people sending letters to the channel asking them to bring it back and they didn't. Their excuse was that the visuals cost too much to produce and the ratings were not satisfactory enough. I was soooooo mad. I loved that show. We are still waiting for that well-deserved sequel that never happened.

Amazing recreation of this most beautiful and emotional theme from the end of this really underrated romantic film. One of the best films in my opinion of the 80's and in sci-fi as well.

What a huge, majestic piece of music. So grand and emotive. It has some similarity, I think, with an instrumental called Furtwangler by a band called Fagin's Boys, which was released a few years after Starman.

And the choir sounds are samples of the voice of Buffy Sainte-Marie. Edit: Buffy Sainte-Marie was composer Jack Nitzsche's wife at the time, which makes perfect sense why he'd use her voice for his score.

May he rest in eternal peace.
I actually decided to cover this song because of my Dad, being one of his favorite scores and films. It always reminds me of him. Even though he’s still with us, we live in different countries so I don’t get to see him very often.

Dear Antonio, I want to use this clip as the entrance tune for my Anglican Church wedding next year. Can you approve it? :-) I am wondering my bride and I going up the aisle listening to this.... the timing is perfect... less than 3 minutes should cover the entrance.

I appreciate the fact that you asked. Of course you can use it, It would be my pleasure specially for such a joyous and special occasion. Congratulations by the way.
Now, do you need the clip or just the audio? Cause I could just send you a mix down of the audio on an Mp3, Mpeg 4 or Wav, whichever you prefer. You're more than welcomed to use the clip if that is what you prefer as well.

I used several synths and VST’s.
Off the top of my head, I believe the Vox Choir I programmed on my Motif XF 6.
The strings were a mix of Motif XS and Korg Kronos with possibly Orchestral Suite by UVI thrown in there. Some Roland D-50 Organ somewhere. It was a labor of love.
