Penguin was straight up savage in the after story Batmobile conversation.

But him acknowledging that Dick will not let him down carries so much weight, and Nightwing, in turn, showing how much he believes in Batman when he tells him Scarecrow's exposure of his identity won't stop him. Ensuring Dick wasn't consumed by darkness as he was by his trauma is probably Batman's greatest victory. He's ensured that Dick Grayson is a better man then he thinks he'll ever be. There's no one more worthy of carrying the mantle of Batman than Dick. Even when they are at odds with each other, Dick never lets Bruce down. Would've been cool seeing a classic handshake though.

One thing that occurred to me is that it would be really nice (and probably make for a happier ending) if, when you surrender to Scarecrow at the end of the game but you've helped Nightwing with all the caches, he tracks your movements in the truck to Scarecrow (maybe retrieving the utility belt left behind, using the Remote Hacking Device to jam the camera feeds, so the Bruce Wayne secret doesn't get exposed).
Or, for that matter, if you did all the Riddler missions so Catwoman is now free of the bomb collar, she hitches a ride on maybe the truck's underside and disables the live feed while Scarecrow is occupied.
Or, if you did both Nightwing and Catwoman's missions, they both show up to help against Scarecrow. Nightwing jamming the live feeds with Remote Hacking Device, and then maybe a team battle where Nightwing and Catwoman fight to keep Scarecrow's thugs occupied. Am thinking even Azrael (provided you had him leave the clock tower) could get in on the action.
That would be perfect alternative endings.

Actually, I think school was hard for Penguin as he was picked on constantly and severely. And, as it was boarding school, he couldn't go home at the end of the day to escape the bullies. Honestly, I would hate school too if I had to deal with that everyday.
I got to go home from school every day and I hated it, especially since I never stayed in one place for too long. Once I started 5th grade, I saw school as a prison. Glad I am free now. Also glad I never ended up like Penguin.

In my HEADCANON, Nightwing's capture was a ruse to lead Batman straight to Cobblepot.
Yeah that’s what happened, he didn’t even really fought with Penguins men. He just came and told them to capture him. Which is cool because it shows he is ready to make the sacrifice when needed. Nightwing is really greater than they showed here but headcanons can help that ;)
But in my head, if Nightwing sent out a distress signal to Jump City, to Titans Tower, Starfire would reach Gotham, crush Penguin’s gang and rescue her boyfriend in record time.

I find Nightwing's *ahem* hostage situation by Penguin to be very unbelievable. Considering how Penguin's just a fat midget compared to Nightwing being a master martial artist, acrobat, and detective. In fact, I'd say Nightwing was never in any real danger and just let Penguin think he got him just to troll him and so that he and Batman can take him down more effectively.

Honestly, the side missions in Arkham Knight are really good, I feel bad calling them side missions. Like if you just play the story missions during your walkthroughs, you’re missing out on a lot.
I like the realistic approach of penguin's men when batman placed an gps tracker on that van. Like they made sure that Batman's outta site until heading back to their hideout.
