@@rcpete7055 i'm not saying they are all like that but some definitely are! a couple of people have told me what's in the contract! theres even a certain channel that always go on about how honest they are and sometimes will say a cheap off brand car sucks just go gain credibility and then never say one negative point about a horizon product!! What they saved in getting a free car ends up costing them 1000's of $$ more in lost views and reputation. it takes years to build a good reputation and you can lose it in seconds!!
Kevin, I have dabbled with RC a bit over the years but your videos make me want to take a deep dive into the hobby! I’m 50 years old and still love “kids stuff” lol. Thank you for the entertainment and encouragement !
Same, exact same. 51 and I found this channel like 2 years ago when I was getting the urge again. Now I have racks of new cars and even a purpose built workshop I had a crew build for me for my cars and such. Kevin has a lot to answer for and IMHO, this is the best RC Chan on YT because of his enthusiasm.

I agree with your power to weight ratio specs and tire selections for this performance test. Reminds me of putting an 8-tooth gear with a four-turn quad with a 3600 Mah on a Losi Jr X2 and heading straight for the table top.

Got it, absolutely love it and the stock gearing is plenty fast enough with 8s and 6s at 30ish mph. This thing is MAHUSIVE.

Been watching your videos a few weeks now I had a t maxx 2.5 about 20 years ago and decided to jump back into the hobby and try to get my son interested too I picked up a v1 maxx at the local hobby shop on discount since the v2 are out and just wanted to say thanks for the entertainment and motivation

The very first production run of "sledgehammer" tires (for the HOSS) were belted from what my local hobby shop said. Traxxas probably dropped the belting to cut cost.
Decent tires on my HOSS. I wouldn't buy them for my MAXX though. Proline just makes much better tires.

I run beadlocks with belted tyres on my 6s converted maxx. It makes a world of difference

This puts the old school E-Maxx into perspective! It has a SHORTER wheel base than the Maxx V2 and is LIGHTER, but came out of the box running 6S!!! Crazy considering how old it is!
