shoutout to you. i finally gt a first bike. an 08 ninja 250. a blast to ride. but i rode 3 hour roadtrip this weekend and after so long they get uncomfortable. i think a good tank bag and taller windscreen will help. allow for more relaxation in the positions. whem im in full tuck. i can put my elbows on my kneecaps and its fun feeling being layed out.

Your tps is reading 78 probably because of factory tune only allows it to open 78 percent. I'm pretty sure a ecu flash or power commander would fix this
A flash can fix the throttle restrictions... I know my 2018 cbr1000rr def has them too, I forget what my dash says but I know full open throttle is like 75ish % too
i see this problem wayyy too often. adjust your clutch lever so it has almost a centimeter of play. if it doesnt have that free play the clutch will slip a lot. i just picked up a used bike with only 1K miles and they already fried the clutch because they got rid of the play in the lever.
this goes for all bikes except hydraulic clutches of course. so check and do this to all your bikes! you might notice some improvements you didnt know you were lacking.

Clutch slippage test, 6th gear at idle then WOT there's your test and answer, it should hold in top gear at idle load speed. Ya'll need to learn to maint and repair your rides instead of all ride and no maint, should be every ride affair for safely.

" Friction plates" and "steels" there called, Lol, If the steels are discolored they lose their hardness and become softer, You can bead blast the Steels for more grip. There are also stiffer clutch springs, And some can be added an subtracted on the friction plates for more holding power, this is not for newbs to do. Also the correct oil for oil bath based clutches is also recommended it all matters.

You can run a lighter fluid in cold weather like this to make it easier to warm up. I guarantee you that oil drain plug will have $hit all over it lol
