in spite of the dodgy single channel video, an excellent in depth intro to the bike. Have yet to pick up my bike and i know nothing about bikes and the 250R, so having the location of the bits and pieces pointed out is super helpful
Hey, great vid . I bought my green 08 model last year with 4000 km on it . Still like new and I love it . So cheap for parts and you can get so many aftermarket pimp options. Get over 325 km per tank .
I have a 2008 but it's fuel injected. Not carbs. The first batch were carbs but in late 2008 they changed and also introduced a catalytic converter in the exhaust. Also please take a good look at the one you are going to buy. A lot of new riders have little or no knowledge of how to maintain a motorcycle. Check under the seat for cut wires and also badly fitted mini indicators or tail tidy. Silencer/muffler if after market, has the header pipe been cut at the silencer end? Fairing bolts, are they original? In fact check anything that's not standard from kawasaki.
I’m in my forty’s and am looking to get a bike and I’m so torn between sport bikes and cruise bikes but seem to fall back to the sports bike I’m old school they where so awesome to look at when I was young now it’s my turn.great bike not much for red but still nice.
The KLR650 was updated in 2009 with the previous year Ninja 250 style headlight. This is called “parts bin engineering” when they make something new around existing parts in their supply chain. ;)
@@ninja250motorcyclemaintena7 Yeah it did. Only issue i had was the cam chain tensioner required a manual tensioner as the chain started to wear. And I had to clean the carb way too much. I sold it to a guy and it ran fine, not sure how many more miles he put on it.
@@VehicleHunter I have almost 50,000 miles on mine. It runs like a champ. With insurance prices, I may put another 50,000 on it. The OEM tensioner is self-adjusting. Why would you need a manual adjusting tensioner?
@@DmitriyPanasyuk Have you had any problems with the carberator? I'm looking to buy my first bike, and it's this one, except blue. A lot of my seasoned rider friends hate carberator bikes.
Very different bikes. Different engines, different frames, different wheel sizes. I think what they might share might be suspension in the forks and shocks.
i have 2009 model, and im having a great time riding with my ninja until today, this bike is amazing......good job kawasaki...
Can I buy it off of you :(
Why until today
Oh you mean still
@@DmitriyPanasyuk yes I mean untill today 2021.....9years and counting!!! 💪

Did you ever get a bike?
Yeah, so how did it go. Did you actually bought it ? If you do, how do you like it so far. Hope to hear from you soon and stay safe riding out there.
Buy a mix one. Bajaj Rouser 220f per example
Just bought an 09 ninja 250r for 2800$ with 10k miles. Can't wait
I just bought 2011 red with 11.000 miles on it. And also still have the original tire from factory. And i do loves this bike escpecially the sound ❤
9/10 video only criticism I have is I wish doggo was in frame more😂jkjk great video man

These bikes are good for anybody, from brand new riders to veteran riders. If you can't have fun on a 250, then you're not much of a rider.
SO true!
What maintenance are you doing at 7k ?
Probs just oil changes, carb cleaning. Basic stuff
Get a pretty good rider in the turns on one of these and they will dust everyone. Sure folks can power past in the straights but there you have it.
Hello, i want to fit ninja 300 air-filter box on ninja 250r 2010 model is it possible do they both bike carry same filter box?
You put 87,000 miles on a 2008 Ninja 250?
Correct. Great bike.

If the cam chain is stretched, wouldn't it be better to just buy a new chain?
What years is the new 250r carburated??
There is no new 250r . and there is no specific years that are carberated . mine in usa is carbed .

whats the right way to winterize it bro gotta video on that?
No i don't. But I did do a video on the africa twin winterizing. I normally don't winterize bikes because i ride year round.
you mean parallel twin, its not an inline two engine..
Its the same 250 different fairings great bikes both

I like the style. But this bike would kill my back. I'm on old guy 😁😁

My 1 bike and it was smooth and fast but not so quick
hi bro nice bideo man i give like
Thank you sir, i appreciate it!
👍👍
Gonna tell you straight up! Replace them bs handlebarz with clip ons. Them bs levers and that bs muffler.
Leave rear break alone. good design.
i disliked cause i didnt see a max speed so i can look at how you shift gears.
@@EmoKen 94mph top speed
Nah no point of doing all of that.
@@VehicleHunter I thought they could go a little over 100 mph? I believe the older ones did as they were slightly more powerful or something.
