    The reason why this call is troublesome and a mistake in general is explained at 21:10. How often do you see live players in your room making bluffs with hands that contain a pair?

      I disagree with Bart because of the math. Had villain shoved 850 into 590 then yeah, I can find a fold and think a call could very well be -EV. But Villain shoved 590 into 850 so he ain't even gotta be right half the time to show a profit. I think without a solid read this is a crying call every time and folding is exploitable.

    I love when Bart speaks with high-level poker analysis for the caller; and Bart says “that’s what you were thinking here, right?”
    And caller says “yes. that’s exactly what I was thinking.”
    Meanwhile caller has an elementary view of poker and auto-pilot bets, thinking “I must bet to see where I’m at!”

    @7:23 May I know what pair plus flush draws are there since you're holding the ace of clubs?

    At 1:16 hero says he’s in the LJ with “Ace of clubs, King of Hotts”………. I don’t understand.

    Credit to caller for actually looking to learn cause his analysis was all over the place. I disagree with Bart because the Ac was the key card and along with effective stacks made a world of difference in this hand. I'd rather shove 2x pot on turn with Ac targeting AK-AQ than ch/c 225 leaving myself less than a PSB on river. Good example to me how some 2-5's are super tough and play more like 10-10 with H/U iso'ing etc, while some like this are softer and play more like 1-3.

    A potential bluff could be KJo with the King of clubs. That’s if he’s cold calling a 3-bet with KJo. But to Bart’s point at the end, most villains probably check back that hand on that river

    I love when callers that suck and make a bad play, in this case calling at the end, find reasons to try and explain their bad play and justify it with their explanation of what they did instead of learning from their mistake because in this case they got lucky but 80-90% of the time would lose from their bad play, I feel a lot of the calls lately are people trying to justify and rationalize their bad play instead of trying to learn

      in fairness the caller said he botched the hand.

      Poker needs the "rationalize to avoid improvement" players desperately lol. Game would be impossible to win at if everyone got disciplined and learned with purpose.

      I think that's really harsh and don't think caller sucks at all. More like a guy still learning like the rest of us who don't think they know everything. I also disagree with Bart because SPR has a huge effect on the strength of handed needed to call and without a solid read, caller had way too much hand to fold.

      In reality the caller made a great call, the mistake was not telling Bart who the villain was. A fuckin fish who bluffs and cold calls 3b with garbage

    This is NOT the results that hero will get often by calling on the River. I don't always believe the ending of these calls. But on the other hand, how many times have we run into a villain with a hand that just makes you wonder what they were ever calling with.

  • @justinhart7172
    @justinhart7172 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    1) describe villain better rec fish who is wide and bluffs
    2) small cbet means villains range is even WIDER
    3) gave villain rope on turn with the best bluff catcher well ever have

    If I think about my range of cold calling 3 bets considering it’s live an opponents are under 4 betting and having ultimate position to realize equity, I can see myself calling with a very wide range with lots of suited connectors broadways. On this flop 4 ways I can’t see any raises on this flop that are like oh I’m for sure raising 2p+ here, there is AJ JJ and 77 so I would never bank on the fact that villain would raise flop with hands hero is losing to. I think his bet on turn is indicative of him having a hand that beats you/bluffs. I would almost for sure snap muck AK here.

    Since the hero called, does he have a right to a reveal? I wouldn't do that and just take the win, but some I play with would insist.

    • @kittyislandadventure
      @kittyislandadventure 45 นาทีที่ผ่านมา +1

      Not really. Not in a cash game. In a tournament villian must reveal since it's an all in and a call. Both must reveal. In cash, if the villian chooses to just muck it, not much can be done about it. And making a big stink about it is just annoying and bad poker play. Making everyone at the table dislike is not a good idea. Increases the chance the guy is gonna get up and walk away, increases the very small likelihood he had the winner but misread his hand, and you gain practically nothing from it, even if he reloads, seeing one showdown isn't gonna help you much, if at all.

    On the flop villain can't have a pair with a flush draw. Hero has the A of clubs.

    • @kittyislandadventure

      KJ with the K of clubs would be a pair and a backdoor flush draw.

    Bart how likely are you to out level yourself and overthink things? Should one use the gamblers Jedi force or be a computer program? What’s the optimum mix

  • @ThePatriots010304

    He probably had KJ or KQ with the K of clubs. Those are the only hands that make sense that would take this line.

      8/9 suited also possible, small flopsize turned double gutter. And bluffing with 9 high.

      @brianchassee 50 นาทีที่ผ่านมา +1

      i don’t think they’re bad enough to not show down at all. my guess is 89dd. back door flush draw continues on small flop bet. picks up double gutter and semi bluffs then blasts on the brick. i’m not saying it’s good poker but i’ve seen this type of plau

    I really disagree that the guy for sure would 4 bet AQ or JJ preflop. At the very least it's probably balanced. He could very easily have those hands

  • @speakinfaxonly21

    How can he have a pair plus flush draw on the flop😂

  • @MichaelJamesActually
    @MichaelJamesActually 58 นาทีที่ผ่านมา

    If villain is flat calling, only bets $200 on turn, and I'm getting 3:1 on a river jam, I'm calling. I only need to be right one out of 3 times for this to be profitable, and villain sounds like a horrible player.
