This looks strangely familiar! 😉 Of course I filmed it just a couple hours after you. I have to say, this is one of my favourites from you. Perfect lighting and amazing colour! Nice work!
@@AsphaltPlanet1it sure was. I got some great stuff on that short trip, although I couldn’t really do the fall foliage justice like I can today due to the limited processing power of my old PC. The previously unused 417 footage that I uploaded this past summer after getting my new computer came out really nice though. Overall though, it is my favourite time of the year as well. It’s too bad the colours weren’t in full swing when I visited Quebec this past fall, but still beautiful nonetheless.
@@FreewayAndrewCAN ah I see. That's neat though. I look forward to all drivelapse videos all the same, since I myself am unable to travel so I thank you both for what you do 😁
With the amount of traffic the 401 has, plus the sheer importance it is to Canada’s economy, I am surprised they haven’t made it 6-lanes across the entire province.
Honestly the hwy 417 in Ottawa is definitely something in Fall. I wish I could go there someday at that period. Sure I went there back in 2022 with my family, but it was during summertime. What time of that day was it reccorded? Also, happy international Women's Day 2024 altho I'm a guy Also, I heard that Dragon Ball's creator, Akira Toriyama died last week at 68 years old from a Subdural hematoma. However, it's only this week that mangaka Bird Studio & Capsule Corporation Tokyo announced his death.
If memory serves me this was filmed around lunchtime. Ottawa has some scenic colours during the fall, but lots of regions within Quebec do as well. Thanks for the comment.
I know this part well. Definitely one of the most boring bits of highway around, once you're past the rocky parts near the 1000 Islands. The 416 makes you want to sleep. Unfortunately, I'm not going to watch this one.

It was a beautiful for a drive. The last two weeks of September, and the first two weeks of October is my favourite time of year.

I was wondering if you two knew each other :) since you cover similar content
@@SomaCoreaixno we don’t. Our videos are similar though, mostly because we both use comparable Sony cameras.

Another great video! Love how quickly the surroundings change soon as you enter Ottawa
First and a great drive! Have you ever rode VIA Rail and/or Amtrak?
Yes, I have ridden both VIA and Amtrak trains.
2:18 They shouldn’t put Ottawa on that Highway 15 sign because the best and fastest route from Kingston to Ottawa is via the 416.
ON-416 is kind of the Canadian counterpart to I-81 even though it's not directly connected.

maybe one day they will. Personally, I'd rather see Hwy 7 improved in favour of Hwy 401 widening.
Thanks
Great drive! What camera do you use, and how are your shots so stable?
This was filmed with a Sony AX-33. The key is to mount your camera so that it doesn't wobble.
@@AsphaltPlanet1 It also helps that that camera has VERY good image stabilization.
The freeways in Ottawa seem very under valued compared to Toronto
