Hi, really nice version of this pattern I've seen today. I like the idea of making a "socket" for the eyes, I was waiting for the the other tyers to do it because they stress not compressing the head. At first glance I didn't care for the pattern but everyone says it's awesome for many species. I imagine it was originally imitating a mullet type for the salt and a sucker for freshwater, I think they're both cylinder shaped with a short dorsal and ventral fins. Plus the bulky body/head creates a vortex like a Dalhberg diver to activate the long tail. Lol, maybe I should stop anylizing and just tie one up! But that's half the fun of tying and fishing for me.
